Critical: Quality, ValueI got charged $72 for a full set of acrylics and gel polish and last time I went it was $55. This is the worst quality acrylic set I’ve ever had. I haven’t even had them done for a week and a half and they literally are so frail and breaking. I got charged $72 for a full set of acrylics and gel polish and last time I went it was $55. This is the worst quality acrylic set I’ve ever had. I haven’t even had them done for a week and a half and they literally are so frail and breaking. I’m absolutely livid and I don’t imagine they will refund me for this because I may be too late.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI’m so disappointed. I’ve been coming here for the last year and I’ve never experienced this. The woman would not speak to me. I told her I was getting ready for engagement pictures, and she proceeded to speak to the other worker and not acknowledge me. I wanted them black. I get up to the counter and was charged $95. Thinking it was product cost, I paid and left. Little to my surprise, I get home to see my new nails, and they were done terribly. Color and polish all over. I called THREE TIMES to tell them about my experience, and had not received one call back. NEVER in my 20 years of getting my nails done have I been treated this poorly. I’m so disappointed. I’ve been coming here for the last year and I’ve never experienced this. The woman would not speak to me. I told her I was getting ready for engagement pictures, and she proceeded to speak to the other worker and not acknowledge me. I wanted them black. I get up to the counter and was charged $95. Don’t go here, they rip people off. Just went to get my gel pedicure removed and charged me $20. Because I didn’t get a pedicure he up charged me, it’s normally $10 to remove gel. But I guess that’s only if you get a pedicure with it. I was in a rush today so I just paid it, but definitely not my favorite place to go at all! I was adamant about just removing the gel she only cut 8 of my toenails because my pinky ones don’t have a nail and I asked her not to do that only remove the polish so they charged me for that. Annoying!

My experience wasn’t great. I had a design I liked. I showed it to the man and he said he couldn’t do little flowers. Meanwhile, my friend was getting her nails done by a woman who was able to do little flowers. After we asked her to help him, he started saying that he could do any design. That was frustrating. He also kept complaining about how it would be hard to do a simple design on a short nail. And after showing him my design multiple times, it still doesn’t look like it. I was not satisfied with my nails. He was very rough with my nails. Overall, my friend had a pretty good experience, but I did not. .

Super unimpressed. The owner is rude…doesn’t listen and bosses you around. He does not do a good job. One week later and my gel polish is chipping off multiple fingers. When he was done, I had gunk all over under my nails. I had to go back to have him get it out. On top of that, their prices are insane. I had a dip manicure and gel polish pedicure and with the tip (which I wish I wouldn’t have given) it was $160. Basic things that should be included with the service are added on as additional charges. Lesson learned on my end…I will not be going back.

Their prices are constantly going up and their quality goes down. This is a week after getting my toes done. I’m pretty disappointed as I paid $45 for a parafin wax pedi. Barely got a massage and was really rushed but on top of that my polish is chipping like crazy.

This secret gem of a nail salon is one of the best!!! Fast service, excellent quality, and I always leave very satisfied. Very hard to find that in a nail salon these days! Most places just want to get you in and get you out, Star nails doesn’t do that. Two of us had to go back and ask for them to be redone because they were so bad. On top of that, the guy was super unprofessional. While doing my sisters nails he was on his phone, FaceTiming someone. He was also incredibly rough. He cut my fingers with the nail file board on four of my fingers because he was pushing so hard and going so fast. He basically gave me deep paper cuts on wiener side of my finger. On FOUR of them! They’re really sore. The price was also not properly explained. At check out it was $70 for nails I wasn’t even happy with.
