Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityThe owner does a Great job, but does not care about her customers. True professionals care about making their customers look and feel good. She expects everyone to be in time, but she’s always running late. I am on time for every appointment and have waited for her many times. I was running late about 15 minutes and she wouldn’t take me. Also, required a deposit if I ever made another appointment. It wouldn’t have been so bad if my wedding wasn’t the next day. She had no grace and didn’t care that I needed services for my wedding. The owner does a Great job, but does not care about her customers. True professionals care about making their customers look and feel good. She expects everyone to be in time, but she’s always running late. I am on time for every appointment and have waited for her many times. I was running late about 15 minutes and she wouldn’t take me. After a horrible experience and two visits to City Nails on Cicero (worst experience in a salon thus far)I came here to fix a nail that was botched twice. The sign on the door said appointment only, but she took me. She fixed my nail, shaped them all and put a missing topcoat on them. She did an awesome job and quickly. The place was clean and peaceful. I met a nice lady in the pedicure chair (with an appointment) who praised this place for pedicures, I’ll definitely be back for mine.

DO NOT COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! 0 STARS!! The owner Tuyen is very unprofessional and is not willing to accommodate you requests. I had an appointment for 2pm today and I walked in exactly at 2pm. At 1:59pm I received a text from her asking if I was still coming. I told her yes I was pulling up. She asked to do my hands first because she double booked and had an appointment at 3. I told her that I needed to soak my nails off first. She insisted I receive a fill in instead. I told her my nails were cracking and soaking them off was the only option. She then went on to say she could no longer work with me because I was asking for too much. The last appointment I had with her I asked for my nails to be soaked off and she said she didn’t have time and next time. The same thing when I asked for paraffin wax; she had no time and said next time. Well today was next time and she said she had an issue because I didn’t state I needed a soak off and paraffin wax pedicure and she only set aside 1 hour for me. How am I to blame because she over booked? I’m so disappointed in how I was treated. Not only did she disrespect me, but she invaded my personal space several times. It got to the point where I asked her to take a few steps back, while I was sitting. I will never return. Prior to today, every appointment I’ve set with her she’s been 30-50 mins late. I’ve never complained. She has 2 regular customers because I’ve referred her and anytime any of my friends come into town I send them to her. NEVER AGAIN!!

I went into this shop on Friday afternoon getting prepared for an event later that night. I had called ahead and let the owner know I was running 15 minutes behind due to a car accident which had occurred at the corner of 115th & Pulaski. Once I arrived and told her what I wanted she took me to a chair, there was no one else in the shop. She began working on my full set, honestly her installation of the falsies was rushed at best. I had a busy day and thus had to answer emails and take a couple calls (something that’s never been an issue at any other shop) all of a sudden the owner, Ty starts sighing heavily and gets an attitude, she tells me to go wash my hands and while I’m at the sink, she comes over and tells me to «hurry up» BC she has another customer. First of all, it is not my fault that you are extremely understaffed, I paid for a service and also for the actual customer service. Once I got back to the chair and she began working again, she indiscreetly began mumbling incoherently, at first about my being on my phone and how I was somehow impeding her. I made a comment that she was being extremely rude to which she stated «I don’t care» «I dont want to work with clients like you» And since she stated «clients like me» I can only assume it means black or African American clients. She went on even after I respectfully asked her to stop and then still had the nerve to demand payment from me, which I paid btw. Her only other customer was an older white woman who was receiving a pedicure. She even went so far as to tell me that she would stop working on my nails to give the woman her pedicure. At that point I was done, I waited patiently for her to finish painting my nails and left. However not before informing her that I would be writing a review about her poor disposition and quality of service. To which, she replied «I don’t care, do it». I have NEVER received such horrible and distasteful service in my life, that lady is a rude, arrogant and possibly racist individual. Thus, i implore everyone who reads this NOT to patronage this shop. No matter how good you believe her skills to be, this type of attitude and behavior should not be tolerated or rewarded. She should suffer the collapse of her business for her distasteful attitude and disrespectful nature. It is completely ridiculous especially when there are hundreds of shops where the service and quality is 10 Times better but much cheaper. I paid $33 for an acrylic full set (see pictures below) lasted approximately 4 hours!!! By the end of the night all of my nails had broken off, I will be requesting a FULL refund from my bank. I will NEVER RETURN!

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. Terrible place they said I couldn’t get a design. They said I should go to a “black neighborhood” if I wanted that. Then I let them put the nails on and they tried to charge me $30 for no polish. They were medium length and said it was an extra $5 for that. Such a bad place and RACIST!

Went on my birthday 6/28 and the following Sunday 6/30 nails are chipped. Had a mani /pedi wasn’t the worst experience BUT wasn’t the best. Because of the weather haven’t gone to have them repolished. Not sure if I’ll go back.

This is the worst acrylic job I’ve ever gotten done or even seen in my lifetime. I’ve been getting my nails done every two weeks for the last two years and I know what I want. I asked for an almond shape and he gave me square, so I showed him an image and it ended up being square-oval. They are all too thick andhe kicker is that they’re ALL CROOKED. They look like a disaster and I’m so very disappointed.

My cousin told me about this salon, and I am hooked! I am a person who is obsessed with a “perfect” mani- no chip and pedi (reg.) The mark is hit every time AND the salon is EXTREMELY CLEAN AND SANITIZED!!!!!
