Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI went through Baylee Barker at this salon to get tape in hair extensions for my up coming wedding. At first it seemed like it would be a great deal. I thought I was getting 24 inches of hair for $535, not including install. She said they were on sale that day only, so I wrote her a check and she said she would go pick two colors for me to match the different blondes in my hair. Until March 3rd when she put them in, one color was a platinum blonde which matched fine but the other was an orange/ pink blonde. I told her I did not like it and that it didn’t match my hair, she blamed it on the lighting in the store and told me to live with it for a couple days. The next day she did tone them after I insisted again I didn’t like them, but charged me even though I had no part of picking the color. She also charged me more than she previously told me to install them, saying she forgot how much work it is and so she needed to charge me more. I was already irritated as it was until someone pointed out to me they did not think my extensions were 24”. So I measured them and turns out they were 18”. So I asked Baylee why and she decided to inform me (now that I’ve had them in for about a week) that she ordered the 18” because they were the length on sale. I would have NEVER paid $535 for 18” tape ins if she had informed before she ordered them. Then after all that, at least 1 tape would fall out every time I showered even though I was using sulfate free soap. She would then charge me $5 per tape to put them back in. Also, you could plainly see the tapes no matter how my hair was laying. After deciding I could not pay this woman another dime I had another gal at another salon take them out, she told me that they were put in very incorrectly (even though Baylee told me she knew how to install these no problem) and that over time they way they were on my hair would’ve caused me bald spots. I also had asked Baylee if I could have these extensions in the ocean, since my honeymoon would be in Hawaii, she said they’d be fine. When in reality apparently everyone knows they will get ruined if they’re in salt water. So after all that it seems very obvious to me that she made me think she was a lot more educated than she really was on extensions.Now I’ve had them put back in by the same gal who took them out and I haven’t had a single issue with them. She also charged me half of what Baylee did for 10 times the quality of service.I feel like I was scammed. I wasted about $800 with Baylee.
