I started going to sports clips years ago and went to see the same stylist. Since then, she’s moved, and for about a year or two now the prices increased for a fade. (Now I understand fades are time-consuming and detail oriented. So on busy days I’ll give them that.) But I usually go during the week an hour after they open when it’s very slow. And I’ve never once found a stylist that’s constantly their or even good at their job. Whenever I ask for a mid fade that I’m charged $5 extra for. And almost every single time every stylists I’m given an extremely high fade. The sad part is it’s in their system, and before every hair cut, I am told “medium fade shavers on the sides” from the stylists that they seem to understand the task at hand. Even then, I explain to them again what I’m looking for, and yet again, I leave disappointed. I would say that maybe it’s the stylists, but maybe it’s management, and these people really hate their job and are always being tossed to new locations. Every time, even when im disappointed, I tip about $10 to $12 for a total shy of $50.

They have a few hardworking, healthy female stylists. But if you do not get them you’ll get a smelly, Parasite infected abomination of what you’d consider to be a hair stylist.

Allie was amazing! I really appreciated her patience with my nephew who did not want to get his hair cut. He loves it and had a great experience. She was such a great stylist who made him so comfortable Kids’ cuts

Love love love ❤️ What Amanda did with my boyfriends hair. We have been to many businesses, including barbershops, and I always HATE it!! He has a extreme receding hairline, and she did such an amazing job on cutting it to where you can style and hide. Definitely a hair cut I have asked for in years. She so sweet. I would recommend her if you are looking into this place, hands down, da bomb. Thanks Amanda, he’ll be back

Waited 2 hours for a haircut that was not good. They told me the wait time was 30 min. I understand stylists are busy, but the stylists were talking to their friends, eating subs from Jimmy John’s while 10 customers were waiting wondering where they went, and going in a different order than what was on the screen. Typically sports clips gets you in and out. It was a 2.5 hour experience total when we were TOLD 30 min. Things happen, but there was no apology, sense or urgency, or even a care. I have a lot of respect for those in the customer service industry, but this group specifically needs retrained on customer service.

The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because I was initially told I would have to wait 30 minutes. No problem. It’s now been 1 1/2 hours. Not at all happy. If I didn’t need a haircut, I would’ve walked out. I will wait to get my haircut but I most likely will not return to sport clips of Strongsville regardless that I really like my hairstylist. There are plenty of other places to go.

I’ve been here three times, once over a year ago and the cut was okay, but way too expensive for what I got. Since the pandemic, I’ve let my hair grow long, but finally needed to get it out of my face. I went into great detail about what I expected in my “rock star” haircut. When I left, I felt like I got a half-a-cut. I let it go because I figured all the layering for the look I wanted couldn’t be done the first time around. After my hair grew out some more, I went back expecting to get my hair cut closer to the way I wanted it to look. I went into even more detail about what I wanted and the girls said she understood exactly what I meant. Then she proceeded to chop about three inches off the back. ALL THAT TIME GROWING IT AND SHE JUST CUT IT OFF LIKE I WAS GOING TO BOOT CAMP!!! The rest of the cut was a disaster because it was out of proportion to the back, too long to keep and I didn’t want to give up and go short again. To make matters worse, she had talked me into the “massage” upgrade which is a big, misleading joke. Is there any company out there that actually delivers what they promise? When I leaned back in the chair, I felt the slightest, most worthless vibration possible. That lasted a minute or so. When I said something, the girl quickly snapped back, as I’m sure she’s trained to do, that they don’t have the right license to do a touch massage. Why offer a massage if you’re not going to massage!?! When I got home and saw the haircut, I was devastated that she let me explain how I wanted it long and then she whacked it all off. I called to complain and got the run-around. Whoever answered the phone said Manager Angela would call the next day. Of course, she didn’t. When I finally go a hold of her, she gave me the blah blah blah and dismissively offered to refund my money, if I drove all the way back over there to get it, but only on one of the days she was working. It didn’t bother her in the least that a refund doesn’t put hair back on my head, doesn’t make the haircut right, and that I have to walk around with this gawd-awful mess until it grows back out and I can find someone who knows what they are doing. Angela never did anything to make the situation right. It took me three times, but now I know that Sports Clips lies about their services, charges way to much, gives bad haircuts, and couldn’t care less about customer satisfaction.

This place is great. I can always walk in with confidence that my hair will be cut correctly no matter which stylist I have that day. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable when I have questions about products or procedures with hair care.
