First of all Mallory is amazing not only is she friendly and down to earth she knows how to cut hair. My kids and I always look forward to getting our hair cut here and she is the reason why. We are always greeted when walking in the door and made felt welcome and of course always leave with smiles and a stylin’ doo. Everyone who I have met is polite and courteous however Mallory takes it to another level. We look forward to our next and many more clips.

On Oct 4th I went for a simple cut only. The cut was ok at best. Simply not an experienced barber. The price was to be $20 and I was leaving a $5 tip. When I tried to pay with my 1st CC the machine gave an error message (not due to over my credit limit. So I tried again and then I attempted a 2nd CC. Again the same error messages. I finally used my bank card and the $20 + $5 tip was paid. On Oct 12th I got my CC statements. To my SHOCK the 1st 2 CCs that got error rejection notices each had charges of $5 EACH TIME I attempted the full payments, giving the hair cutter a $20 payment for the hair cut and a WOPPING $25 TIP. The following morning I called the store 1st thing and I explained the mistake THEIR SYSTEM had made and I made it clear I wanted the $20 tip error returned. The girl took my phone # and she told me she would “give my # to the store owner to get it corrected”. That evening when I had heard noĝthing I politely call back, explained I had I would like the number to call to resolve the problem. The girl then handed the phone to a second woman who took the call and she VERY RUDLY said “Look, we sent your number to the district supervisor and it is up to them to contact you and to try to make you happy”. I was floored. I am 61yo and you just dont treat customers like that. I assume I’ll never see my refund. The way I was raised, had I gottem a cut, shampoo, a hot towel facial and shoulder message and she had been very nice and talkative then I may have on my own tipped her $25 BUT IN THIS CASE $5 was the MAX I was willing to tip and that $5 was more than generious. But now on top of the $20 over tip made by THEIR SYSTEM and now I get talked to and treated like pure trash like I did something wrong? I dont get mad, I get even. Im making sure NO ONE ELSE IN Sanford, NC gets ripped off and treated like trash simply take the time to look up the small barber shops in Sanford and SAFELY give them your business because I assure you that Sports Clips of Sanford could care less about you the second you give them your money and you walk out their door. Cyndi is great! It’s usually hard to get a decent hair cut at these chain barber shops but that is not the case with Cyndi at this location, she actually wants to give people a nice hair cut instead of just getting them in and out.
