I usually have really good experience with sports clips at the Iowa City and Coralville locations, but the shortest time was in North Liberty so I had to go here. I needed to change the look of my hair for a funeral and I gave the stylist a picture and asked her if she could get it cut like that. She did not seem to understand at all what types of length it was and then asked me if I knew what length it was. I’m not a stylist so I didn’t know. I had my wife call earlier the other day and they said that they also trimmed beards but when I asked if they could trim it to match the photo the said she did not trim beards. I mentioned that Sports Clips said that they did on the phone and she replied that she does not trim beards and then she also asked me again if I knew what length it was. She was very unkempt and did not seem to enjoy or even engage politely. She kept asking me if the cut looked fine, but I had my glasses off and I couldn’t see anything and I already knew that this wasn’t going to be good and I just wanted to get it over with. This was definitely not a good experience for me and was certainly not worth a tip. I think I’ll just stick with the Coralville and Iowa City locations from now on.

Went to get a haircut and was to arrive 15 minutes before they close. Walking in at 5:44 and lady said did you check in online I said yes, she asked if I saw my name up on the screen as there were no names up there and she proceeded to say I checked in at the wrong store which was obviously my mistake and she went on saying they couldn’t get me in cause they closed in 15 minutes, nobody else was in line and one person getting their hair cut. Needless to say I will not go back and will not be recommending them to anyone that needs their haircut. Also have been going to them for 3 years and have never had any issues but they lost my business with how rude they were and not even considering trying to get me in.

Got a perfect haircut really enjoyed the service, fast and straight forward ! But today I went there and got a horrible cut with uneven hair and hairline, even as I told her that is was uneven she kept telling me it’s not and I don’t see anything wrong. My sideburn was trimmed but the other was long it was definatly an unfinished cut. I will not get a haircut here again unless it someone else because I came home to fix my hair. It was very noticeable my forehead hairline was at a complete 20 degree slant Instead of a straight line. And horrible costumer service as she just wanted to keep telling me nothing is wrong and just brushed it off and she had an attitude the whole time as she was talking with everyone else perfectly fine. Highly don’t recommend getting a trim by the older ladies especially if you look foreign !!!

When I went in was asked if I had an appointment because they had a 2 hour wait as she kept peering over my shoulders to the nearly empty parking lot. Looking around and seeing one other guy I asked if they were too busy. The woman said no because no one is showing up. I told her it’d be a quick haircut, nothing fancy.
