Haircut was good. Treated myself to the MVP package. The head massage was brief and the neck and shoulder massage was not done yet I was still charged for a mvp. Very disappointing, I usually go to the White Knoll store. They have never charged me for services they didn’t do. Don’t think I’ll be back to the Lexington one even though it is convenient to me. Very disappointed.

I got my haircut Monday by Marissa over at the forest drive location. She did a great job but more importantly she was an amazing conversationalist. Came in the other day and while the haircuts and our personal stylist was wonderful other stylists were very unprofessional! I witnessed everyone in uniform except one girl that worn a tan sweater instead of what everyone else was wearing. I also witnessed this woman be extremely rude to a woman and her little kids. Clearly that lady must hate children and prefer they not come there to get haircuts. Then I witnessed two other stylists one of which was so rude to her customer I expected him to eventually tell her off. The other brown hair lady I witnessed speaking with her two male customers about random things in their lives. I go back in with my husband and see that someone has posted a sign that says no one allowed on the hair cutting floor except the person getting cut. How does this happen when you’ve got young children(toddlers). What mom wants to be away from their child while their getting a haircut? On top of that the toddlers don’t like their parent to be in the front while their in the back. Then if you have multiple children how will this work?! Over the years of going numerous places with my children to get their hair cut I have never encountered a place so uptight and frankly rude! The manager I’ve witnessed speaking rudely to her stylist while being Buddy Buddy and showing preferential treatment to others. She also acts as if store policies do not apply to her & she’s exempt to them. A leader is supposed to lead by example and if they don’t do what is company policy how are the employees expected to do so?. I’m not sure what’s changed at this location other than management but it’s definitely not the same. It used to be a great store to go to where you’d get a good haircut and be treated with respect. Now you get treated as if you do not matter, pay for the service as you are disrespected and they could care less whether or not you come back! It’s sad because we’ve gotten to know a great stylist their who loves her job, gives a great cut and treats you like family and now we do not want to return. When you arrive you aren’t even greeted Hello,Welcome to Sports Clips..If you aren’t already signed in please do so. I witnessed someone come in at 7 which is when they close and the stylist just said “Ugh, it’s 7! We are closed”. No, I’m sorry but we are closed and are just finishing up our last customers. Rude! Unprofessional! If you want a cut and want to leave upset then this is the place for you! If you want a cut and want to leave feeling happy then you best find another place to go!!

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI’ve always felt that most strip mall salons/barbers were always on a timer to churn through as many clients as possible. Even if it is still true, I didn’t feel that was the case at Sport’s Clips. Mostly because Megan was so nice and professional. She didn’t seem to rush or treat her clients like cattle rolling through the gates, but instead seemed very focused and performed each part of my and my son’s haircuts with purpose. I’ve always felt that most strip mall salons/barbers were always on a timer to churn through as many clients as possible. Even if it is still true, I didn’t feel that was the case at Sport’s Clips. Mostly because Megan was so nice and professional. She didn’t seem to rush or treat her clients like cattle rolling through the gates, but instead seemed very focused and performed each part of my and my son’s haircuts with purpose. I’m all about being safe in these times. That’s why I’m fully vaccinated. But, this place still isn’t doing beard trims for “safety” even though not a single employee was wearing a mask and are still in your face for the hair cut. So, what’s the difference here? And where is the state guideline that says “cut hair without a mask but don’t cut beards without a mask.”

Totally over priced. Not only that they have a sign on the door stating “strongly suggest wearing a mask”. In the whole place (which has a small waiting area) one salon tech was wearing one, plus myself. We are in A pandemic I don’t understand the point of a sign if they’re not going to abide by it? Every age range was up in there and not one had a mask on. This is the problem!
