Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI decided to try the Standale Sports Clips. They don’t take appointments even during the pandemic, but they have online check-in to get on their waiting list. I did so and was shown a 35 minute wait time. It said it would be at 12:55. I got there at 12:45 and followed the website instructions to notify them I had arrived. I called from the parking lot, and they said to come on in. I did and saw two stylists both cutting hair but no one else waiting. They said it would be just a few minutes. Those were the last words spoken to me. One stylist came out from the back and took another client who had arrived after me but had signed onto the list before me. When another finished, I watched her clean her station, come up to the front, and then without a word walk to the back and not return. I noticed that my wait time now long past my original time showed another 15 minutes. So, at 1:20, now 1 hour after checking in online and 20 minutes after my listed arrival time, I stood up and walked out and no one said a word to me. Maybe because I’m a professor at Grand Valley rather than a student I was considered too old for their clientele and not worth their time. I decided to try the Standale Sports Clips. They don’t take appointments even during the pandemic, but they have online check-in to get on their waiting list. Hairstylist did not listen to my requests, and rushed through my haircut. Not worth your money, save yourself the trouble go somewhere else if you want a quality haircut.
