This location is clean, and we’ve always had a great experience in the past. This review is strictly for a specific stylist and I wasn’t going to leave one but after looking at some of the other reviews, it seems we’re not the only ones with a negative experience. Haircut with Nikki was according to my son the worst experience he’s had there. I’m leaving a 4-star review because in the past we’ve had a great experience and the salon is clean etc. and one stylist doesn’t define the overall business. The stylists we’ve gone to in the past are no longer working there. Nikki was stonefaced, didn’t talk, didn’t smile, she just seemed miserable. It was the fastest haircut he’s ever had, I’d say we were there for less than 10 min. When she asked if I was okay with it, I let him be the one to indicate if he was good with it and he said he was. When we left he said it’s because he didn’t want her messing with his hair anymore, he said she brushed it roughly without holding his hair/head to prevent the pulling etc. I don’t even think she wet his hair down before cutting, just did a cut straight across the back and that was it. I think I was overcharged as well, since I got charged for an MVP which I think includes the hot towel and shampoo but he didn’t receive it. I didn’t go back in to get it corrected since the $ difference isn’t worth the trouble of going back in and I couldn’t find a description of the haircut options on the website. There were several people in line for her, so she may just be overwhelmed and I imagine they are understaffed right now and with back to school it may have just been a bad/off day, but it’s made my son not want to go back.

If you are looking for a clean skin fade every time or even just a custom cut of your liking, you definitely need to book with HOLLY @ Sports Clips Kenosha as she has never disappointed me. I have been getting my haircut from her for the past year when she worked at another location and heard she had moved to Kenosha. Me being as picky as I am, I didn’t want to look for another stylist as it took me awhile to find a great one. I now drive to Kenosha, which I don’t mind, just to get my haircut from her as I know I will receive the haircut that I want and know looks good every time.

First time in this place. No on else was there so seated immediately. The stylist asked questions and apparently asked about a number 4 which I don’t recall her saying, and have no idea what it meant. So she got the clippers out and went to work on the back of head. Then went to the left side and I looked into the mirror and almost had a stroke!! She whacked off all of the hair! I said OH MY GOD that’s too short. She said you said OK when I said #4… To which I replied I had no idea what she meant. She said you should’ve asked if you didn’t know. Truer words were never spoken. I won’t be back unless I want to get scalped again. Note to self…not all people working in hair cutting places are professional. Next time I will be more vocal. But to be fair, I’ve been getting haircuts for 40 years and NEVER had an issue like this until now. Should’ve waited the min at the place next door. Lesson learned.

I just got a cut from Nikki. I was recommended by a friend but wish I had not. The cut was less than 4 minutes. There was no conversation and she was eager to get to her next customer who she talked to more while checking me out than at any point. Looked like she knew him. She was also was making eyes and gestures to him while taking me back which was odd. Honestly she looked hungover. The cut was subpar and she flew through it with a buzzer. Never asked how I want my neck done, or asked for any other input other than the five words on her cheat sheet from the last time I was in with a different stylist. Complete trash experience. I will never go to Kenosha again.

The staff here is very friendly and the place is always very clean. Unfortunately it has been years now since we can get a halfway decent fade accomplished and the haircuts are rarely what we ask for but today was sadly the worst. Just had to go to a barber after they butchered my sons hair before his first dance. I have to give up and find a new spot.
