I sat in the store for forty minutes. One stylist told me she had to clean up her station and I would be next. I was the only one in the waiting area. Then another customer walked in and she took him, and explained that he had checked in online and promised the next stylist would take me as soon as she was done cleaning her station. Ok. I get that. Then a father and son walked in, and the next stylist took them instead of me.

This place closes much earlier than their advertised hours and cannot be trusted. I went there for a haircut two days in a row and they were closed during the hours they were supposed to be open. On my last visit there was a handwritten sign on the door that said “closed at 4:00 PM”. It was not a holiday and it was 3:45 PM and the doors were locked, the lights were out, nobody was inside, and there were no cars in the parking lot. It would seem they leave whenever they feel like it. I expected more from a national chain. My guess is that the store manager either doesn’t respect his customers and is OK with this or is not properly supervising the store that is under his responsibility. I won’t be back.

I am a regular. I seen Mariah for a hair cut once and she messed up my side burns. I came into sportclips today for a undercut when I arrived into the store she was mad, she did not ask me right away what I would like to get done. She did not talk during my time getting a hair cut, she just went right into cutting my hair when I did not tell her what I wanted done until I stopped her to show her what I wanted done. She seemed very angry and I wasn’t sure if she had a bad day so I barley talked. My hair cut did not turn out how I wanted it. So I went to the sports clips in Plainfeild and the manager their named Jackie cut my hair and told me she has been cutting hair for 20 years and the girl who cut my hair left my hair similar to a Bowl cut I wanted my top and my sides shaved, but she left the sides hanging down and I told her I wanted it faded and she said I cant do that, but I can shave it in more and I said no I want it faded and she started trimming my hair more short and I just said it looks good and left. Like I had a horrible experience with her and I will never let her do my hair again in the future. I won’t have this experience again and hopefully she isn’t angry and mad the whole time she is with a customer because that isn’t how I expected my custoner experience to be. So for that I left a 1 star.

Got a great haircut. Double MVP. Although the wait list was stacking up I didn’t feel like the stylist rushed. She was the only person cutting that morning though. Luckily I was first on the list. Sports Clips has been pretty pushy lately with trying to get me me to buy products. I know they have to, but 30 minutes of listening to a hair products commercial is costing them a star.

I’ve been going to this Sport Clips for over a year and each time I go the girls there are always very polite and respectful. I never have a problem talking with the girls while getting my haircut. I don’t have a problem referring anyone to have there hair done there.

I was looking for a quick cut and this place was perfect. They have an app where you can see the wait times which allows you to plan. Great customer service as they played the game I wanted to watch. I will definitely be back to experience the other services they provide other than the regular hair cut. They also provide FREE neck trims within 30 days of your cut!!
