So today I was excited that the wait was 27 minutes. We got there 15 minutes early. We waited our time and we were on deck. Our stylist was Kamal. I noticed that one of his friends walked in and he says I got u with a head nod. Well my son who was on deck now has a 31 minute wait. I asked to speak with the manager was informed there was not one available. There was not an explanation or an apology offered….NOTHING!! I have other obligations today and therefore have no time to be wasting as our next appointment is in 1 hour. Luckily I rode uptown and Mike at #Gifted Hands Barber Studio made himself available on that short notice!! DONT FORGET ABOUT OUR SMALL LOCALLY OWNED SHOPS. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE FAR OUT DOES THE CHAIN SHOPS THAT ARE PUSHING CUSTOMERS THRU LIKE AN ASSEMBLY LINE. It was great. First time I have been there. Michelle did a wonderful job cutting my hair . But the shampoo massage was great. I will be back in about 6 weeks to go thru it all again. I called and was told it was a slow period right then. I rushed over 2 minutes later I was in the chair. When I was leaving it was a 45 minute wait. Schedule an appointment. It’s wonderful. Arrived only 10 minutes before closing time on December 23, honestly only expecting to ask what the hours were going to be on Christmas Eve. My stylist, Amanda, said she would gladly take me since I already made the effort to come in. She didn’t rush at all, made suggestions on ways to style my hair, and talked about the holidays with our families. While I’m sure she would have liked to have been on her way home to her young children, rather than staying after closing time, she never let it show.
