Sport Clips Haircuts of Gainesville

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI have been to this specific Sport Clips many times. It’s a toss up if you will get a good quality hair cut. They rotate through stylists so even if you find one that does a great job for you they probably won’t be there after a few haircuts. Earlier this week I checked in online with a 30 min. wait. I showed up about 25 min. later to find only one stylist and two people in front of me in line. After 10 min. the one stylist finished the haircut that she was working on when I arrived and had started the next. Now only one person ahead of me, checked in online also but not there yet. A few min. later, now 45 min into my 30 min wait, someone walked in. This time another stylist came out from the shadows to greet him. I got the impression that they were friends. He went straight to the chair to start his haircut. I assume she didn’t want to start any other haircuts until her “friend” arrived so that he wouldn’t have to wait. I could have easily been finished and on my way home had she not been waiting for him. Before starting his haircut the stylist told him that he could take his mask off and not to worry about it. Either you think masks work and now this stylist does not care for the health and safety of anyone else that is there or you don’t think they work and every customer at this Sport Clips is required to wear a mask unless you are a friend of the stylist. No matter your belief on the masks and risks of COVID, this is not the right way for a business to operate. Between the mask BS and my 30 min wait fast approaching an hour just so a stylist’s friend could get right in to get a haircut I decided to leave. I won’t be back to this Sport Clips. There are plenty of other places to get a haircut in Gainesville. I would suggest trying any other option before coming here.I have been to this specific Sport Clips many times. I have been to this specific Sport Clips many times. It’s a toss up if you will get a good quality hair cut. Critical: PunctualityThe last three times I have come in, the wait times have been 45+ minutes as there have ever only been 2 staff members on hand with 8 booths in the building, despite only 2-3 customers waiting for service. The last time led me to seek a competitor salon in order to be helped. I also feel it’s unfair to the two stylists to be responsible to hold the entire shop and its clientele on their shoulders alone. The last three times I have come in, the wait times have been 45+ minutes as there have ever only been 2 staff members on hand with 8 booths in the building, despite only 2-3 customers waiting for service. The last time led me to seek a competitor salon in order to be helped. I also feel it’s unfair to the two stylists to be responsible to hold the entire shop and its clientele on their shoulders alone. As a consumer, I don’t feel comfortable supporting those kinds of business practices at this branch.
