I was immediately greeted with sincere welcomes from the staff. I got assistance from Meri. She helped me get situated with my appointment and the took me in. Her professionalism and caring was clear in her initial overview of the grooming services her store offered. She inquired about what I desired in a hair and beard look and made suggestions on what she could do to achieve my look. After my approval, she then set an expectation on what she would do in steps. And the she went to it. I got to experience the MVP treatment services consisting of the head/face message, heated towel, and messaging chair. It was perfect! I found out from Meri that she had 11 years of hairstyling /solon experience, and it showed in the results of my hair and beard. I was cleaned up and looking sharp thanks to her. The cost was comparable to a professional barber/beard stylist. Meri, now has a new client for as long I’m in Carmichael. Thank you, Meri, and SportClips.

They do a good job most of the time but my biggest problem is actually getting in. They focus on the online check instead of actual walk in customers so the wait times are ridiculously high. I remember a time where you might have to wait 20-30 minutes but they have multiple hour wait times and it’s just not worth it. Haircut

I have short thick wavy/curly hair that I usually cut in a punkish messy looking style. I’ve had my friends do my hair before and since it’s not supposed to look perfect I thought going to an actual salon it would be a breeze for the stylist; I was very wrong. The stylist, named Pi, struggled deeply with my curly hair. It took her a lot longer than I thought it would and I could tell she was having a very hard time. While the other stylists were pleasantly chatting with their customers I was sitting awkwardly in silence. I have very poor vision and so knew I wouldn’t be able to see the cut while she was working and tried to describe before the cut as clearly as possible what I had wanted. She got the concept right but the execution was very poor. She told me the cut was “slightly uneven” in the back because she made a mistake, which I told her was okay. BUT at the end when I saw the cut Pi specifically DID NOT SHOW ME the side she messed up on. The bangs were also done incorrectly (I told her I sweep them to the side, she cut them almost straight) and looked choppy and sloppy. It was only when I got home and my boyfriend took a picture I actually saw how incredibly uneven it was (I’m not picky but hot damn!!). I had to go back and get it fixed, the next lady I got was very kind and friendly and did a decent job trying to fix it. Still, not a good cut and I was very disappointed. Not a place I’d recommend for people like me with unique hair textures and styles BUT if you’re a straight short haired guy they have friendly service and an absolute killer of a hairwash/massage. I would recommend here more for the customer service and massage more than an actual haircut.

I didn’t expect there to be someone who would know how to do my hair, but I needed a quick trim. She worked with my psoriasis and used an exfoliation shampoo. Half a week later, my scalp is still clear. It was my second time at this location. She taught me some things that my own mother never taught me!
