My husband, son and I were there today – we enjoyed the quick, same day online appointment scheduling HOWEVER, I will never be sending them back there again. The wait time was unnecessarily long, if I make an appointment time, I expect the appointment to start +/- 5min of the original time and we ended up waiting at least 30min+ after we arrived with no explanation (I was able to run into a crowded grocery store, waited in line there and I was able to make it back before they were called back). Once they got back to their stylists (even with pictures and verbal explanations) did not get the hair cuts right. The person that did my son’s hair got as close as she could (I would give her a 4/5 – she communicated with me the entire time which I appreciate). The person that did my husband’s, cut one side of his head & faded his sideburns “normal” and to what he was looking for but the other side of head was completely crooked to the point of him contemplating shaving his entire head because it’s not fixable – I spent 30min at home trying to fix it and was unsuccessful. I shouldn’t have to spend $50 just to come home to fix the hair myself.

Checked in on their app, which was easy! Was met by the manager and since it was my first time visiting their business, she took the time to explain their process from getting your haircut to the shampoo, hot towel, and then a massage. After she finished with my cut, she walked me over to the product shelf and explained all the products she had used. Very professional all the way! I definitely will be going back!

I normally have such a hard time finding a place to take my kids to get quick, quality haircuts but the online check in with SportsClips has totally simplified that process. The ladies who helped us were so kind and welcoming and were so great with the kids! Plus, the haircuts were awesome!

Great place to get a haircut if you can get in. I had some success with the store in Andover, MN when I was still working in the twin cities. Not so much with the store in Alexandria. The fourth and final time I tried to get a haircut there was at 10am on a Wednesday morning. You would think that they wouldn’t be very busy at that time on that day, but they said that there was a two hour wait. There were two stylists there at the time and one customer in the store. The online check in has never worked for me. In fact when I stopped in recently only to buy some shampoo the two staff members there with no customers even admitted to me that several of the customers who use the online check in dont even show up for the appointment they made. Their online check in is a joke. If I could call and make an appointment with a specific person or if they took walk in’s, I would love to get a haircut there, but as long as they have this online check-in, I will stick with my local stylist who I can call on the phone and schedule an appointment. Usually great service at Sports Clips but next to impossible for me to get in.

Maybe I just hit the place at the wrong time on the wrong day…or don’t fully understand the check-in process. Our estimated check-in time was 3:44pm. From what I understood, we’d fall off the list if we weren’t there by a half hour AFTER the check-in time. I took off work, picked my son up from school, and we arrived at 3:15…only to discover we had dropped off the list apparently a half hour BEFORE check-in time. What???
