A quaint little hot springs. We went the beginning of November and it was more of a little warmer than a lukewarm on the higher up hot spring. The hike is fairly easy. I suggest using All Trails to find the springs and to come earlier in the day if you want it to yourself.

Beautiful view for a short walk. I would consider it a warm spring though. Would be nice in summer or any warmer sunny day. I was there in November and I only lasted 15 minutes before I started shivering.

Easy short and interesting hike to a wonderful hot spring. Easy enough for kids but not great for those with mobility issues (there were slick spots of ice on the trail and some small rocky inclines). Went in December, springs were warm enough to dip but not super hot. The little cave connected to the second pool is hot and steamy. Beautiful views. Springs are small so go early to avoid the crowd. Highly recommend on the road from NM to Colorado.

Gorgeous, secluded, a little bit unbalanced if you are handicapped, the walk is uneven and a little difficult as it’s not paved but quite close to the parking lot so it’s not a long hike. They don’t have clear signage so you have to just pass take the path that winds up to the left. Totally worth it as the view and the water is wonderful. You shouldn’t get lost if you’re able to see the foot path. Very very beautiful. Quite small so if there were other people there, it would be very intimate. From what I could tell. There are two baths directly on top of each other, you have to walk through or around one to get to the other, park closes at sunset for good reason he wouldn’t be able to find your way back down the hill easily.

Loved this hidden gem! Stop by Amanda’s Country Store for a map and some guidance in the area! The hot spring temperature wasn’t that warm but a nice treat after days of camping and hiking. Just beware, this a clothing optional site! Don’t hike here if you’re against being natural!

These should really be called warm springs.

A cute hot spring where you can get amazing photos *if* it’s not crowded, which it usually is. The path up has a lot of small stairs to start then it’s a rough/rocky path. It can get pretty muddy. I went in Nov/Dec (in a very dry year) and it was like walking in a muddy creek. The walk is pretty steep (you go down to the creek then follow the water back up the hill) but it’s short to get to the springs. There are two small pools. The top pool is warmer and has a little cave that you can crawl into that is the heat source, so it’s almost like a hot tub/sauna. There is enough room for about 3 adults to sit in there. The top pool is very rocky though and can kinda hurt. The bottom pool is muddy/slimy (so gentle in your feet) but not as warm, probably just above room temp. The water is only about 2/3.5 feet deep in either pool. About 1/2 ft in the cave. There are red bugs in the summer and fall buzzing around but they don’t bite/sting. Be sure to like this review if it was helpful!

The hike down is easy, up towards the pools is pretty steep. Two pools, both warm but not hot. In the upper pool there is a small cave you can crawl into that is warmer.

Easy hike towards the hot spring. Quite scenic! We found the upper pool to be warmer.

The water was not that hot when I went at the end of October. It seems the actual source of the hot water comes from a cave located just behind the top pool. The opening is very small, but can fit one yo two average sized adults. The view from the spring is beautiful and the hike was fairly short. It took approximately 20 minutes at a moderate pace. The final part of the trail is quite steep so keep that in mind. Overall, I highly recommend a visit as it is more than worth the time!
