Hair salons, even salons that cater to children, are usually too overwhelming for my kids–the loud sounds, unfamiliar smells, strangers milling around. Spectrum Salon is a single room where customers are seen one at a time, so it’s quiet and private. Rae is so kind and welcoming. They have made their salon a space where everyone can feel comfortable. They were very attentive to my child and made a real connection with her. They noticed my daughter’s sensitivities and did a great job accommodating her and making her feel comfortable. We’ll go back again and again!

Rae was incredible. The environment was so comfortable and colorful. They made Harper so comfortable and stayed calm and professional even when my girl was looking all over the place and needed to have a little wiggle moment. Rae is fantastic! I usually struggle with salons. I do not know how to explain what I want, I do not know how to advocate for my preferences, and I find the whole process confusing and overwhelming. Rae took time to listen, understand, and suggest options that considered my needs. They proposed a style that I had never considered, and it turned out awesome – both when they styled it initially and after I resumed my normal hair routine. Rae has created the kind of salon environment that I have always needed. They are accepting and accommodating, not pushy and judgey. I am so relieved that I found Rae and Spectrum Salon!
