I started Small Business Saturday out with my favorite small business this morning! I’ve been going to Spectrum since July and I could not be happier with Ashley and her business! Ashley is super down to earth and easy to talk to. I feel like my monthly massage is a visit with a friend (with the added bonus of an excellent massage)!

I received a $60 gift certificate to this business last Christmas from a friend. I called to make an appt today, Nov 25, for a massage. The owner, Ashley, would not honor the certificate. She told me her certificates are only good for one year and it was too late for me. I told her that my certificate had no expiration date on it. She said that the new ones do. I told her again that mine did not and would she honor it anyway…..it was 11 months since I got it so still within the year anyway….but she still refused. She said, ”Who waits a year to get a massage?” She was very rude on the phone despite it being her mistake there was no expiration date on the certificate and beside the fact that it wasn’t even a year since I got it. She told me she was going on maternity leave and had no time to schedule and would not honor it for a future date. I would think a small business owner would be more willing to provide a service my friend purchased for me…..but apparently this small business owner is not. What a shame.

Positive: Professionalism, QualityMy daughter and I went for a girls day, and what a great experience. It was my daughter’s first ever massage and Ashley was wonderful with her, she keeps asking to go back. Very relaxing massage and atmosphere.. we definitely will be back.
