I just got my nails done 2 days before Christmas at another salon and they did a terrible job, so I made an appointment for 10am on Saturday, NYE, to fix them. I overslept and called as soon as I woke up to let them know I was not going to make my appointment time. She told me to come on and they’d take care of me. Once I arrived I was about 15 minutes late from my original appointment. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed by one of the employees working at the front of the salon. I only waited about 15 minutes and was taken back to Sonny’s station. When he sat down across from me, I realized he used to do my nails years and years ago (in the 90s lol) at another salon. I knew as soon as I saw him my nails would be impeccable. And they were. And the hand massage he gives is so great. That alone is worth the price! lol Everyone was very friendly and the prices are reasonable and in line with what other salons in the area are charging. I got an acrylic fill with a gorgeous glittery pink gel polish. Even though the space is large, it feels cozy and comfortable. I will be going back to Sonny for all my fills, and I plan to have a pedicure next time I go as well.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityI have been a customer here for almost 10 years and the service I received today was terrible. Had gel done once on my hands with patchy application and I asked for them to be repainted. The man who serviced me sighed very loudly, spoke to his coworker and tried again for a second time. As he filed my hand I was in pain the entire time. I asked him to be a little more gentle and he kept filing down on my skin with the same force. The second paint job was much worse (photo attached). You can see the lumps of polish making my nails look insane. The second time he removed my nails he did not let the gel soak off completely and filed my nail bed down so much that my hands were stinging. He stormed off and did not ever acknowledge the pain I experienced while he was OVER-filing my nails. Hana had to intervene and do my nails for a 3RD time and still had the same issue of not having the nail evenly coated. I’m sad that I have been a loyal customer and was treatedpoorly, made a spectacle out of, and gaslit for not being satisfied with the service provided. I never complain about services done but this was very disappointing. Whether I make a appointment or come in, they are very accommodating and try to get you back fast and they always no matter who I go to do my nails, never rushes and always takes their time. I’m not sure how they’ve received such great reviews. I went yesterday to use my gift card. I got the pedicure that included callous removal which my nail tech refused to do. They didn’t have clear pink so I used their recommendation but I didn’t like the color I asked while it was drying can it be changed they charged me a $10 fee even though you could clearly see the color had several white spots and bubbles. While doing my manicure I had to ask for my nails to be cleaned the nail tech painted over dirty nails. I also had to ask for my old nail polish to be removed from my toes because the nail tech was about to paint over old polish. Not worth the $60 the customer service was very dismissive. The shop gives me you’ll take whatever I give you vibes. Normally, I dress up but I think because I had on sweat pants and an older shirt I was treated like I wasn’t good enough to be in their shop. Save your money and time.

This place has the worst customer experience I have ever encountered. First of all they do not speak English well and don’t seem to understand you when you ask them a question. I asked for gel nail polish and I received regular nail polish which came off while I was there even after I dried it under their dryer. Before the nail tech applied the nail polish she asked me to pay my bill. Of course I was very annoyed at her request because her tone was very rude as well. I then asked to speak to the supervisor or manager and I was told there was no one on staff at the moment. On a positive note the nail salon is very clean.

I recently moved to the area and Special Nails came highly recommend. Yen was my technician at my first appointment for a mani/pedi. I hadn’t had either in 18 months due to the pandemic. I left feeling pampered with cute toes and hands. Due to the comfort level of cleanliness, a few weeks later I took my granddaughters, ages 7 & 5, for pedicures. They were treated like princesses and even had their fingernails polished too, at no extra charge.
