My wife and are very picky when it comes to massages. Too little/much pressure or if we feel rushed and we won’t be back. Not at Spavia! We had a very relaxing deep tissue couples massage. We had Bob and Sharon and they were both amazing. One of the most relaxing massages we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be requesting them again!

I have been a member at Spavia since 2020. I continue to visit the Chimney Rock location because of some of the staff there that actually are professional. But over the past year I have had several issues and still continue my membership with them. Today we received a phone call that my husband’s massage was canceled for tomorrow. This would not be an issue except this was the 3rd time in a row that this has happened. As I was explaining my issue to the Assistant Manager, she showed little concern about my issue while also laughing as we were ending the call (as if she found some type of humor at me being upset).

I’m not impressed with the atmosphere. To me it was like walking into a store in the mall. The therapist Haylee was very nice but a little too rough for me. I told her I liked medium pressure and it seemed the only pressure she knew how to use was rough. She had a glass of water waiting for me afterwards which was very nice but after that she walked away and I was kind of left to fend for myself. This is not a true spa in my opinion. I will not be returning.

Waste of time! I booked the appt for my dad specifically asking for a male masseuse. I informed them that it’s a birthday gift for my dad and he has never had a professional massage before so he is only comfortable with a male therapist. She gave me the appt 4 days later saying that it’s the only time they will have a male masseuse. Then sent me confirmation emails/texts, all saying it’s with the male therapist. When we showed up and they took my dad in. I asked the lady if everything was okay. She said yes the FEMALE therapist will be with him shortly. I protested, first she denied then she came back saying yes there was a schedule change so the manager switched with a female therapist. I asked her how they could do this without letting me know!?? To which she had no answer. They offered me to come in another day with a discount. But it still sucks because it ruined his birthday and it was already such a struggle to get him to come in the first time, let alone again.

Bob did an amazing 100 minute signature massage. He incorporated segments with hot stones, stretching, and deep tissue. I highly recommend him and this Spavia location overall.
