Hi, everyone ♂️ as a Hispanic Disabled Military Veteran attending Rutgers atm I would definitely recommend this place for a cut or coloring. Compared to everyone else in the Rutgers/New Brunswick area they have better prices and genuinely better quality. They actually take time with your hair instead of rushing to finish it and bring you unlimited Coffee/Tea/water for free as you wait or during your cut. They also give honest and useful advice on hair and hair health without trying to upsell you anything which is a positive in my book .Great environment and good vibes honestly and as a gay guy i felt safe and comfortable their. Definitely safe zone for LGBTQIA and Women in general. ♂️

I love this place so much! It’s crazy to think I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years, but I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. Businesses change, adapt, etc and Sparks is no exception, but the core culture of this place is and has always been rock solid.

Walked in thinking this was a barbershop, quickly realized it was a salon. I was already skeptical and asked if they knew how to cuts men hairs, and said if not it’s fine, that I can go to a barbershop, it would not be a big deal at all. I was assured they were very good and “specialize” in men’s haircuts… I walked out after The haircut and actually regretted my life. I should have gotten up the second she showed me the faded she gave me but I didn’t have the heart, and for some reason let her move to the top of my head. I should have just threw 20$ For the faded and saved 2, 3 months of hair growth and Have a actual barber fix the damage while it was fixable but it was already too late. The ladies were very nice, however, if you are a guy, I can promise you are better off going quite literally anywhere else.

I’ve never seen more hideous work for hair dying. How is it possible to spend a quarter of the day for a not even mediocre job of hair dying. Do the stylist even know color theory?
