Upon calling to schedule an appointment, I was politely greeted and told there was no wait time, so I could come in asap. This being my first time trying this salon and hearing so many good reviews, the zero wait-time made me very excited. The male is who did my french gel manicure, and initially he made the tip lines waaay too thick for my liking… which I didn’t understand because I showed him an exact picture of what I wanted. After telling him, I’d like the french tip thinner, he then removes the first 2 white tips, and redoes them. He successfully made them thinner and I was fine with that. He continued to do the white tips, and I began realizing they were not even brush strokes at all… I then pointed that out and he redid the inconsistent tips. After that, I felt I had to double check the rest of my 7 finger nails before putting it under the light, to make sure the tips were at least decent to my liking. Overall, I felt that I had to teach the man how to do a basic French gel manicure, his hand was not steady, the gel ended up chipping within 4 days of the service. I went back and they fixed my one chipped nail, and suggested to add another layer of gel ‘just in case’ — all for free, which was good. However, 3 days after going back to get it fixed… the same nail that originally chipped, chipped again in the same exact spot and then 2 other nails chipped as well. I am going back to have them just remove this manicure. All in all, I don’t think I’ll be coming here for manicures, they seem to do acrylic sets very well, in photo reviews and the sets my friends have gotten. But definitely not french gel manicures in my experience. Also to mention, initially the male did try to get me to get tips… but I didn’t need or want them, and he just kept recommending them — now I see why he was trying to push the tips on me so bad, because he probably could have provided better service with a set than with a regular gel manicure.
