I’ve been going to Steven for haircuts&beard trim for years at Derby City. I was honestly pretty happy to hear that he’d moved to Spanish Fly, a shop that actually takes appointments, so you don’t have to spend two hours staring at your phone in a crowded shop to get a haircut. Benny is the best! His haircuts will get you laid. He also has a wealth of knowledge and is very personable. We have great conversations. The dude is also a herpetology enthusiast. You should ask him about turtles on your next visit. I have seen him several times, and he has never let me down. I have gotten my hair cut by pretty much everyone on the Spanish Fly staff at this point, and they are the best in the business. Spanish Fly Barbershop FTW!

Great location, easy to find parking, inside looks cool as hell, I like the smaller intimate environment and hastle free online appointment portal is a breeze. Steven is my guy and he does an amazing job, I always leave satisfied with an extra pep in my step and a confidence boost. I’ve seen some cuts the other barbers have done as well, you will leave with a good cut no matter who you get. Also good music and barbershop conversation.

I don’t generally do reviews, but this is easily one of the top shops in the city of Louisville. I’ve received so many bad haircuts in this city, from the barbershops that are supposed to be the best. This has been one of the best cuts I’ve had in a while. Benny hooked me up, he took his time, he listened to what I wanted (and didn’t want), and the guys there are just generally cool as hell. I highly recommend this shop.

This place is great. It has a great atmosphere and the staff is fun and friendly. I’ve had my haircut twice here and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Expect to spend a little bit more time than an average haircut (at least for me) but the quality and attention to detail shows.
