Recieved deep tissue when I specifically said no to it, I still have the text that shows it. I said “that hurts” or “that’s too much pressure” repeatedly and the pressure never changed. My muscles actually ache more. I seriously considered leaving in the middle of it but didn’t want to waste what was a thoughtful gift.

While on a visit to Gunnison on Feb 21, 2015 I called Spa La La to order a couples massage at 5:00 pm on a Saturday. The web site has their hours being open until 8:00 pm and expected that we could receive the dual massage service. The owner called me back and stated she did find someone to provide massage services, but could only do one at a time. So that we wouldn’t waste an entire evening, we told her to only schedule 1 – one hour massage. She asked for my credit card number over the phone indicating that the massage therapist wouldn’t have access to the credit card terminal. In addition she had me specify a tip % in advance of any service being provided. Come to find out after receiving an emailed copy of the receipt, the owner charged me for the original requested Couples Massage plus a tip despite the fact that her employee only provided 1 – one hour massage. Her argument is that the employee waited for the second person to come in and therefore she is justified in charging for the second 1 hour massage (plus tip) when the service was never provided. Both the owner and the Massage Therapist had our phone number but made no effort to contact us to confirm the second massage. The owner has even submitted a fraudulent receipt to American Express stating that I signed “Per Kristen” as a Point of Sale Transaction after the services were rendered when in fact I signed nothing and she charged me in advance of the appointment. In addition she charged me $75 for each hour when the advertised price for a 60 minute massage is $65. If the owner would have confirmed the dollar amount that she was running on my American Express Card in the beginning, her misunderstanding would have been evident. Instead I’m now faced with paying $172.50 for a mediocre 60 minute massage. The owner made no effort to resolve this issue and is adamant that she is justified in collecting the funds that she charged. I would never recommend that anyone use this facility when the fee for the services and tip are being paid for in advance. I have filed another dispute with American Express; I have agreed to pay for only the 1 – one hour massage plus tip. WARNING – DO NOT PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD OVER THE PHONE FOR ANY SERVICE AT SPA LA LA.

I went here to get a nose hair waxed because my normal Waxer was out of town for on a long vacation and my nose hair itched really bad (laugh all you want). So she she stuck a huge glob in both nostrils at the same time (kinda freaking me out not being able to breath) and didn’t use a stick to pull it out. She used her nail to loosen it and rip it out in the proses cutting my nose w her finger nail. Didn’t notice it till I was home. Won’t go back. I’ll wait till my normal Waxer comes back next time.

Not a bad place. Massage was only so-so but the waxing was relatively thorough. No real complaints but no wow factor either. I’ll definitely shop around town before I go back.
