Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityMy husband and I both really enjoyed our massages here. We booked a month prior to our trip. We opted for the 30 minute massage. We were placed in separate cabanas – there was no way to put two people in the same cabana – but we were made aware of this at the time we booked the massage and the cabanas are next to each other. We also got a call the day prior to our massage telling us where to park and where to go. The cabanas are right next to the beach and you can hear the waves during the massage. The cabanas are located on the more private side of the hotel but you still have people walking by who can see into the cabana. They closed the cabanas completely in order for me to get undressed and get on the table and under the blanket. Once the massage began, the cabana was open on two sides. My massage was fantastic. I wanted to focus mainly on my upper back, and my massage therapist did, but he also massaged the rest of my body as well. We began right on time and my therapist was very communicative with me and asked twice how the pressure was. He also used my name several times which I appreciated. The only negative was that the cabana got a little hot and I wish they had opened all four sides of it in order to get more of a breeze. My husband and I both really enjoyed our massages here. We booked a month prior to our trip. We opted for the 30 minute massage. We were placed in separate cabanas – there was no way to put two people in the same cabana – but we were made aware of this at the time we booked the massage and the cabanas are next to each other. Critical: QualityNot the best massage I’ve had but also not the worst. Just be mindful that if you list an area of soreness (e.g. neck and shoulders), the whole massage may only focus on that area. Was disappointed that my legs only had less than 5 minutes total for the whole 50 minute full-body massage. Left my calves very sore because they didn’t actually massage much of anything. Also paid extra for a 15 minute scalp massage but once again focused on not my scalp but those areas of soreness I listed before. I reached out to the spa by phone all the way back in July to make an appointment for my wife and I to get a couples’ massage on the beach for our honeymoon. This was one of the few things she and I wanted to pre-book well in advance because we knew we definitely wanted to do it. When we got there, we were told that I only had one appointment in the books for a single person to get a massage. The customer service was extremely lacking, as they didn’t apologize at all for the mistake or offer any suggestions for making this right. They weren’t rude per se, and they canceled the appointment with no problem, but I thought it was very inconsiderate that they were the ones who made the mistake and I told them I booked this months in advance (July for a September honeymoon) and they were unwilling to offer a single suggestion to help make up for their mistake.
