Linda did an awesome job on my ragged cuticles and nails. She took her time clean around the edges and straightening out my nails. My hands look so much better.

Not at all friendly or helpful. I had to ask for a towel to wipe the excess oil off my legs. The dryers were not effective and even after 20 minutes my mom and I smeared our polish. It was cold and and unwelcoming thereWould not go back. Manicure, Pedicure

I really had a great experience at Southside Nail salon! It’s a quiet family owned salon and looking for some place new. And Katie did my nails. She did a wonderful job, very meticulous and she also did a very nice design for me. I will definitely be going back!

It was my first time at Southside Nails. I was able to meet up with one of my friends who I haven’t seen in quite some time who invited me to join her here. We made an appointment for 630pm knowing they close at 7pm but it was all we could work into both of our schedules. Stating that, I was nervous they would be in a rush or rude to get us in and out and on our way…but it was the exact opposite I am pleased to say! They made me feel welcomed to their establishment and took their time and I had memorable conversations with my nail tech. I may have conversed more with her than my friend who I met up with! I ended up getting white dip on my nails and I am happy how they turned out.

I will not go back she charged me 100 for both my daughter and i , that is price gauging for a set, my regular lady at another salon well they went out of business and i only spent 30 on a set of gel, theu took advantage of me and my daughter, our nails feel to thick and skipped half the process of doing nails, so yes definitely not going back, gonna find this other place and try them, my rating is NOT a 1 but a ZERO, oh and my finger was bleeding from the filing

I was debating if writing a review was even worth it, but it is because looking at the situation, I realize that maybe the female owner was having a bad day but that doesn’t give her an excuse to treat a customer this way. I hope she reads this and empathizes with what I’m saying. One out of a few reasons why I am rating this salon a 0 is that I simply came here to get a pedi and mani, I normally go to a different salon but wanted to try this one out to see how I’d like it. First thing is I made sure to call ahead of time and ask about prices since I was debating if I wanted to spend money on a mani. On the phone I asked how much a pedi was with shellac the lady said 35$ and I was thinking wow that’s good okay I’ll get a mani too then which was 35$. So cool, I’m sitting down and up to this point everything was fine but while the owner was doing my nails I turn my head a little to see the girls nails beside me and when I looked at the owner she looked frustrated and rolled her eyes. She told me not to move because it’s going to mess up my nails which I understood but her attitude shocked me because at nail therapy they don’t treat their customers like this. So I didn’t say anything. at the end she charged me $95 without tip for a pedi and mani. I was thinking wow that’s a lot then what I was thinking it was going to be. I left and realize that she overcharged me when I called again we both found out there was miscommunication about my pedi, it was 50 so I was a little bit upset that there was miscommunication but i was fine, I still noticed though that she charged me $10 extra. On the phone her husband was polite and said he would take care of it so I went in and he was in the bathroom. She and I were arguing because I was trying to explain to her what her husband said on the phone and she was getting irritated with me and said “just take it.” I’m not normally a mean person but I was feeling very bothered by her attitude and told her I was not coming back and that my nails were ugly. I do feel bad by saying that now I could have said that I didn’t like my nails, so I do apologize for that rude comment. But then she follows me to my car and says she going to take a picture of me and as I drive away she’s recording me? For what cause I said my nails were ugly? Gosh the anxiety I had at the salon was high. Never again, I’ll stick with my ladies at nail therapy. I hope though that the owners read this and understand that my intentions were truly to get a pedi and medi and not hurt anyones feelings but I didn’t appreciate the miscommunication and lack of respect.

I am sad about my experience because I feel like I was taken advantage of. I went with my best friend and I got a gel pedicure. They didn’t have prices posted anywhere but I expected it would be no more than $50. She told me while she was doing my pedicure she saw my big toe nails were slightly cracked previously and had been patched with acrylic. I said yes they did it at my last pedicure back home. She said “yes that’s the only way” and proceeded with my pedicure. When I was waiting to pay she said it was $50 for the gel pedicure Plus another $20 for the “fake nails”! I didn’t know what fake nails she was talking about. I asked her was she referring to my big toe, because I saw she had touched up the crack before putting on the polish and she said “yes, $10 per toe”!! I felt so taken advantage of because she never mentioned that when she quickly swiped over my toe with the powder, she just did it like it was part of the pedicure. So for a pedicure that should’ve cost me $50 (and a short pedicure at that with no massage) I ended up paying $77 after still leaving her a tip. I can’t imagine that if “fake nails” actually cost $10 each that someone is paying her $100 for a full set. I knew it wasn’t right, that it couldn’t be, but I didn’t want to make a scene and embarrass my friend that goes there. It definitely put a damper on the rest of my time, and makes me feel bad about the whole thing.
