This was my first time coming to this nail salon and when I tell you I was immediately disgusted I mean it ! I walk into the door and wasn’t greeted at all so I sat down and waited soon as a white woman walked in she was not only immediately greeted but also asked what type of service she needed ! He caught me looking at him then proceeded to ask me what service I wanted ! All I asked for was eyebrows! He then asked if I could sit in the chair to wait only to have me sitting there for 30 minutes I’ve never been treated like this and to make me feel like I don’t matter as a black was flabbergasting ! I WILL FIND ME A BLACK NAIL TECH AND SPEND MY MONEY WHERE ITS APPRECIATED this place is disgusting and all the employees should be thrown in the trash BLACK PEOPLE SHOULD NOT SPEND MONEY AT THIS RACIST PLACE

I am so utterly disappointed in this nail salon, I’ve been coming here for years and I always expect a better outcome than my previous visit. I asked for basic acrylic nails with a champagne chrome base with white tips. I showed a reference picture to be exact. I left the store $50 short and with nails that I did not ask for. The shape was off, no chrome was added and the white tip was brought down almost to the middle of my nail. They looked horrible. I’ve had the basic white tip before and it was $40, I don’t what why i would be charged more for the exact same nails. Needless to say.. a very unfulfilled experience and would highly recommend going to a different nail salon

I went last week for a manicure. The manicure I got was a JOKE! HORRIBLE. In fact, the worse manicure I have ever received. The guy that did my manicure, didn’t even do my cuticles. He seemed annoyed that I didn’t want color. It’s my service that I am paying for sir. He barely wanted to massage my hands at all. I told him I wanted my nails trimmed not cut down completely. He cuts them down all the way.

I came in here to get a design on my nails, the lady told me she could do it. I picked out my color and she proceeded to “fill in” my nails with a SNS color I did not pick out. When I asked why she said that it would be fine. I then proceeded to let her finish what she was doing. Once she got done filling in with SNS she proceeded to go over the SNS with 2 gel colors I did not pick out. When I asked why she said that she couldn’t do the design I asked for and was doing what she thought looked best. I paid 33 dollars for nails that have SNS and Gel Polish on them. It has been like this for 2 days and is already falling off. I asked why she couldnt do the design and that I would wait for someone that could or do a fill in with a different color. I believe this place is a scam and they do not care about customers. I will be going back to Annies from now on.

I stopped ALL nail services 2 years ago after some terrible service in my home town but decided to give Southern Nails a try after seeing a friend’s nails she had done at SN. I am very pleased with their service and the way they apply the dip powder to your nails with a strong thicker coat insuring no damage to my natural nails with minimum filing on my natural nail and I was DONE in 30 minutes! I found me a new nail salon!

The guy who did my nails was too preoccupied with another client while doing my nails to pay attention. They were done way too short and he even cut my finger while drilling my nail beds. They’re acrylic, but no longer than my natural nails were when I came in. I’ll be getting them fixed elsewhere

I went in on Sunday to get my usual, dip powder over my real nails, short length, and pedicure. I was seated right away, as I was setting waiting on someone to start my pedicure a African American women walks in at 5:15, she asked if they was busy, and a nail tech stated yes and to come back tomorrow. However, with in two min several Caucasians women walks in back to back and they were seated and serviced. The guy nail tech “Eric” did not provided me with the pedicure service I requested, hot towels, leg message etc. He gave me a basic pedicure. It was late, I was tired and ready to go so I did not push the issue. I got the dip powder on my nails and after he finished we proceed to the register. The first total he gave me was $120.00, I asked what services was he charging me for and he immediately brought the price down to $105. I asked again, and he stated I got long nails, which was a lie. I called back the day after to get a price of the same services I received a day before and was told by another tech the total is $75.00. I will never patronize this nail salon again. I have in the past, I was a good customer who would give a great tip. They have for sure lost a customer. African American women DO NOT patronize Southern Nail Spa. They do not respect us and will over charge us and treat us less than. There’s other much better nail saloon here in Statesboro who treat everyone the same.

I paid $90 for a set that didn’t even come out like the picture. The left picture is what I wanted and the second picture is what I received. I had 2 nail technicians look at the same picture and they both did it incorrectly. Not even a week later, 2 of my nails broke off and I didn’t use no excessive force to cause them to break. I went back to get them repaired and they interrogated me to “make sure” I didn’t break them so I couldn’t get them fixed for free. I had to wait 40 mins just to fix 2 nails and when it was finally time for me to sit in the chair, they tried to rush my nails and hurry me out the chair, doing my nails wrong and sloppy all over again. I will be definitely looking for another salon.
