Sophronias Hair Salon and Spa is a hidden gem in Riverside. Back in the 80’s it was booming..then there was a fire. It is open now but has been forgotten. Stephanie owns it and is very talented. In a world full of bougie salons and over inflated pricing, Sophronias has them beat. A talented hair color specialist, Stephanie listens. Inside the ranch style house on Arlington Ave is a bridal shop, hair dressers, nail salon and massage therapy. If you want great services at very reasonable prices you need to make an appointment. She uses top of the line products.

I used to go to this place many years ago and started going again in 2004. The daughter now runs it since her mother passed away but it’s still a great place to go. It used to be a kicking place but they had a fire and she lost all of her cosmetologist’s and most of her patron’s while she repaired the place so she’s trying to build the business back up but the quality hasn’t gone down because of it. They do hair, nails, wax, facials, massage, and more as it’s a full service salon. Their prices are very reasonable and if you’re unhappy with any result they’ll bend over backwards to make it right although it’s rare that ever happens. My whole family goes here and most of my friends. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Last year I lost a lot of hair from stress and health and what hair I had was dry and brittle. My hair is now healthy and longer than I’ve had it in 30 years. It would never grow past my shoulders before. Give them a try, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
