I’ve been looking for a good nail salon for awhile now in Jersey City, but haven’t had the best experiences. I needed my nails done asap for a wedding coming up, when I was on google maps I stumbled upon Sophie’s Nail Studio and based on the reviews I decided to give this place a chance. BEST decision ever. I booked a gel manicure and regular pedicure with Bee and had the absolute best experience. Also the prices were good, $40 for gel and $35 for a pedicure. Bee spent a solid 45 minutes on my pedicure and also really took his time on the whole experience. My gel manicure also was an over all great experience. Also, the front desk was super nice and welcoming. I will for sure be back!!

Great experience at this new salon! Super clean with a nice selection of colors, styles, and designs. I always do acrylic with a cat eye gel color, and this is the first salon I’ve seen with such a variety of cat-eye colors available. Sue was super fast but still gentle and kept checking to make sure I liked the length, shape, and look. Everyone working there was super friendly both on the phone and in person.

I work in the area and had a few of my patients recommend Sophie’s for dip powder. I made an appointment over the phone 2 days ago, the receptionist was accommodating to my tight schedule which I appreciated. I’m extremely happy with the quality of work done by my tech Maria. She’s an experienced professional and really pays attention to detail; she took her time to make sure everything was symmetrical in length and shape as well as removing every speck of cuticle and smoothing down all my rough edges as I get calluses on my fingers from work which she made sure to buff down for me. I also liked that all the instruments were in steri- pouches and opened in front of me. Sharnise the receptionist was welcoming/friendly & helped me check out and schedule my next visit. Overall a clean and modern salon, with a large selection of colors and services.

I scheduled an appointment online for acrylic full set with gel ($75) and their pedicure.I had an appointment at 9:45 but since they had no more workers, they pushed it to 10:05 since employee arrived late. I went for a basic pink coffin design. When done; 3 of their workers had to ask me what I was waiting for. I waited 30 minutes for my pedicure and had 2 employee switch because the manager or whoever “messed up” the schedule. Sophie was nice and offered me a drink. At the end for payment, I was charged $142 for 2 simple jobs where other places would have cost no more than 100. It’s luxurious but crazy expensive and long wait times!! I came out at 12:30!! The nails is just not worth the price.

I’ve been going to Sophie for more than 2 years now. Her attention to detail is next level so I was beyond excited when she opened her own spot because I knew who ever she hired would be just as good. She’s trained her brother Bee who is great also. Olivia recently did my acrylic tips with gel polish and it was also just as excellent. The fact that Sophie’s calendar is always booked up for weeks speaks to the demand for her amazing skills but at least I know she has others who do just as good. The salon space is beautiful and the service is excellent. Anyone who thinks or says otherwise is some entitled bratty customer just looking for a reason to be mad about something. ::insert eye roll here::

My nail experience at Sophie’s Nail Studio was completely AMAZING! From the moment I stepped in I was greeted with a smile and guided to the check-in station. I am fascinated with the overall look and feel of this salon. It’s luxurious yet provides a soothing comforting spa feel. Sophie the owner greeted me with so much warmth and showed me to my seat and offered me water. The level of service is like no other! This salon is beyond beautiful. I had a 3:30pm app and arrived at 3:10 (Figured I would wait and look through some options). As soon as I arrived I was seated and attended to. Bee was super friendly and great with suggestions. The area was spotless and well appointed. I had a gel fill in and I am beyond thrilled with how my nails came out. I also received a discount for their grand opening which is always a nice treat.
