Trust me when i say this STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS POSSIBLE. They are so rude and unprofessional. They kept talking about me in french thinking i wouldn’t understand what they were saying but i do speak french myself. I called and told them i wanted to get twist, she agreed over the phone. Came in she decides that she couldn’t do twist on my hair and that i would need to get normal box braids. She basically forced me to get the box braids. I thought since i already travelled all this way, i might as well get the box braids. She braided my hair sooo tight, i feel paralyzed. I kept telling her that it was tight and she kept saying “it’s supposed to be like that…it’ll pass.” I need to take these braids off ASAP. My head, my scalp hurts so much. And to be honest it’s a mediocre job. I love supporting small businesses and hate to be that person to be writing negative reviews. Honestly, this is the first time I’m leaving a negative review EVER. But i just felt like i had to warn y’all. They do not care about their clients. They deserve less than one stars tbh.

A lot of people will talk about the condition of the place but I honestly don’t mind. These ladies do such a good job for a reasonable price. My braids always last me through and through and they don’t braid too tight.

This place deserves no stars. I went they for knotless box braids because I was recommended to Sophia. The staff was unwelcoming and rude. The place was nasty. It was waist of time, I was told by the owner”Sophia” to leave my name and number she’ll call me when I’m next, which I did and I never received a call. I eventually went somewhere else . I really don’t understand how she’s still in business.

I’m really surprised by these reviews. I’ve been coming here for about 8yrs and will continue to. I have NEVER had a negative experience here…other braid salons yes, but never here. I’ve had my hair done by Sophie and a few of her other braiders and they have ALL been polite and they listen to me when I tell them what I want. This is not a fancy salon at all but if you want your hair to look like it was done by professional African braiders, then this is definitely the place. They are African and they have every right to speak their language.

I’ve been coming here for about 6 years now. I love getting my perfect braids/Senegalese twists here. I have never had any issues with bumps/tightness when coming here. They are awesome and always manage to do exactly what I want. Yes Ms. Sophie and her braiders do speak a Francophone langauge and they also speak English, and why not, America is a free country. If you’re a woman of color complaining about language you need to do better.

Sophie is rude and money hungry! She says one price and when you get there and show this dummy a picture of a hair style she either doesn’t know how to do it or she adds $10-$30 extra on the price. None of these idiots know how to do Goddess’s braids but they are all African, so that makes no sense at all! They take long as hell I mean hours on top of hours just for a Conrow ponytail. They are all rude, the place is dirty as hell, they smell especially their breath and they are all extremely rude! They speak in their African Language and I cursed them all the way out and they need to be condemned!

Sophie is a thift. We all work hard for our money, so when I’m quoted a price, I should be paying that price. I went in to get Senagalis twist, she quote $160 & $180, when I asked what is the difference is cost, she never said because they can supply the hair, which is the $180, but if you bring your own hair, the price is $160. Not because of the length of the braids, which is what she made me believe. Once I was finished, I gave the women who did my hair (who did a great job) the $180 and she looked at me like why you gave me so much. She said something to Sophie in there language and Sophie looked at like shut up and replied back to her, in that language. As, I left another customer mentioned to me if you bring your own hair it’s the $160, but if they supply the hair, its $180. The lady did a great job, I would have given here the $20 as a tip any way, but for the sheer fact that Sophie is taking advantage of her clients, she gets rated as a THIFT!

This Place is horrible!!!! I wish I could give them zero stars because these people shouldn’t even be in business! They say the open at 10:30, I had arrived at 10:24 so I could be the first one in line. The owner had yet to arrive. She has 2 other costumers and a employee waiting out side!
