Giving 1 star because it won’t let me give 0. I’ve been going to Sophia’s for years. I called this morning to make an appointment at the same time that my friend already had one. I spoke to someone and booked my appointment. When I showed up for my appointment, they told me they didn’t have one for me and couldn’t take me. Sunny didn’t care that I had called, picked up the phone, didn’t give me any eye contact and definitely gave no apologies. Seriously, not even one apology. I drive 30+ minutes to get to the salon, so I wasted over an hour in the car. I’m never going back again. HORRIBLE customer service.

I wanted to love this place so much. They do take safety and cleanings seriously! However, their work is not good at all, at least for not anything besides a regular Mani/Pedi. They did a great great shaping, but my dip nails started to break in less than a week. I went back to fix it, and 3 nails broke less than 3 days in. I have been wearing dip on and off for years and this is the only time it has done this. I went back to my usual place and my tech even noted how thin the dip is. Such a shame.

I really wanted to love this place for gel manicures but after giving them a handful of tries, I’m moving on. Uneven filing, polish and overall sloppy results. Not to mention, I was charged $30 for a gel polish change when it’s clearly listed as $15. My nails don’t look great and even if they did, up-charging customers is shady business. I won’t be back.

I have never seen a cleaner place in my entire life! Not even a hospital. Instruments are autoclaved and every surface is cleaned. Service was excellent, and the quality of the work was amazing. I think the owner only hires staff that are perfectionists; and when you are getting your nails painted, that is a skill / talent to value. Oh yes, the cost of both pedicure and manicure was very reasonable; especially for being in the Main Line.

Yikes…Well, that wasn’t what I was expecting from this salon! I went to get a gel manicure and honestly, my money was wasted. I told the technician to not file down my nails and to retain the shape and length as much as possible. Evidentally, she took it to mean the opposite and she filed them all crooked and angled in weird ways. Some nails are oval, some are avantgarde – looking like Picasso cubism painting what with these angles.

They did a very good job on the fillon my nails. The neck, shoulder, arm and hand massage was great! It was very pricey. $43 for just a fill with gel polish. They use fresh plastic for each pedicure, which is good. If you want to be treated very well though, this is the place for you!

Always great service. I have visited many nail salons, but keep coming back to Sophia. The staff is top notch and the pedicure they offered are detailed, perfected polished and the massage is always amazing. If you pay cash you get a discount too.

Im not even from the area but Im currently doing a summer program at Bryn Mawr college and my feet was in need of a pedicure Bad!!! I was lowkey scared to go because i wanted my feet to be perfect and Sophia Spa and Nails did a AMAZING JOB!!! The staff was so nice and the pedicure experience was amazing!!! They went above and beyond from what I expected.. I love my toenails so much lol.. out of all the salons i been to in my life Sophias is definitely the best!!!!!! And not to mention their pricing is very reasonable!!!
