We probably called 20 different places but only Sonya’s was able to get us in for a same day highlight and cut (and they got us in within an hour). We asked once we got there for the appointment, and they had no problem getting me in for a cut too. Kim, who worked on both of us, was amazing. She kept me updated through the whole process and let me know what it was about my hair texture, growth pattern, style, etc that led her to make each decision in cutting and styling my hair. She made sure along the whole way that the amount she was cutting was okay. So my friend was feeling spontaneous and wanted to get her hair done on her day off. We probably called 20 different places but only Sonya’s was able to get us in for a same day highlight and cut (and they got us in within an hour). I had gotten a terrible haircut before coming here. My hair was so uneven it looked so horrible that I had to wear it up. I was looking online for salons near me, reading reviews and calling trying to find someone to fix my hair. I found Sonya’s Hair Design and spoke with Trudy. She said she could see me today. I was so happy. The shop was adorable and Trudy was so nice, personable and real!, my hair looks so amazing. I was shocked it looked this good because I’ve had so many horrible experiences getting my hair cut in Lacey, Washington. I’m not someone that frequents many salons, in fact it had been years since I had gone to one. I was growing out my hair but knew I wanted a short pixie cut, so I started looking for a stylist. I found Sonya’s salon listed and gave them a call. I spoke with Sonya on the phone and found her to be professional and considerate. She listened to my concerns and was kind and reassuring. I was able to make an appointment and she took great care of me! She gave me helpful tips on ways to style my short hair, and gave a few final touches that really made a big difference to me. I appreciate the time and attention she invested into this cut! She will be getting my business again, I highly recommend.

At first I wasn’t going to rate this due to salons having a hard enough time as it is. Honestly…… This is the worst hair cut IV ever had. I cried. I went home and cried. If an artist has not done a cut that is being asked for then they should not attempt it on someone going in for a job interview the next day. This cut was not done by Sonya.

Cute and clean salon! My stylists are Suki and Sonya. They do such a great job and are super friendly! I really like them and would highly recommend them. I love to get a cut and color from Suki, and my husband even goes to Sonya and really likes her too. The other staff there are really friendly as well. Highly recommended! Support local businesses!
