My husband and I have tanned at Maysville for 6 years. We each bought a week package. They were for different beds. The employee told us that if I didn’t use my bed that day because it was too busy, etc. that my husband could use it when he came in. Unfortunately she didn’t know the policies and that was not true. When my husband went in the manager (aka the owner’s daughter ) would not allow him to use my bed…even though I had not used it that day. So they were paid for that more expensive bed but refused to allow us to use it as their employee assured us we could. The manager was rude and would not stop talking over my husband. I called to confirm what their employee had told us and she again talked nonstop. She then accused me of taking advantage of her new employee by manufacturing my plan! Uh…your employee is the one who came up with the swap plan! Then she kept reminding me that we have tanned there many times before so we should know the policies. Her own employees don’t know the policies…how would I? I asked for a call back from the owner (her mother) and instead I got a call from another manager. She was very nice but at the end of the day Solar Tan would not honor their employee’s commitment. So we will finish our 4 days and find another company to do business with. There is so much competition in Fort Wayne. It’s nice to support “local” but not when a “local” business treats a regular customer like a national big box store.

Excellent, straight forward pricing! No membership requirement. We were able to buy tanning minutes and share them on one account. We were happy to find Solar Tan after Studio Tan closed.

Go anywhere but here, they are dishonest! They lied to me about what kind of beds they had and than told me they were refunding my money and than never did, so I called and was told that they do not do refunds and that is fine if you are giving people what you sold them but that was not the case. I am reporting them to the BBB for selling something they can not provide. Also the stand up still had greasy foot prints in it and an used cup of tanning lotion so there is no way the bed could have been clean so I will also be calling the health department for them failing to comply with state regulations.

Absolute favorite place to tan. Best prices in town and they offer different specials every single month. Most diverse skin care selection I’ve seen in a salon, not biased and only offer one or two brands. They allow you to see and give you the opportunity to try a wide range of different kin care products. Most knowledgable staff I’ve experienced when it comes to the different beds, process of tanning, and the skin care products. Highly reccommend Solar Tan!

Normally it’s pretty good here. But I walk in and two people are waiting. When I came in five people came in after me And she calls four of those people before me. And I was there before them. Have to be an easier way to keep track. After my minutes will probably find somewhere else to tan.

If it was possible to rate it lower I would. The young woman at the front desk was condescending and rude while discussing lotions. Not only did she roll her eyes and flick her hands at me but she made a tisking noise at me as we spoke. I decided to take my business else where and left.

I love going to Solar Tan, after working in a tanning salon for many years and thinking our beds were good, only to find out Solar Tan has amazing beds friendly and educated staff and a clean environment.. I would always recommend them their prices are good and lotions are well priced also… Thanks for making it a great time anniversary experience.
