I have gone to Solace to see Abby for all my color and cuts. She never disappoints. She is very professional and definitely knows what she is doing, especially with long, thick hair. Katie was able to fit me in at the last minute for balayage after another salon canceled 2 hours before my appointment. I had virgin, never-processed hair and was nervous about undergoing a big change with an artist I had not researched. Katie listened patiently to what I wanted and explained what she was doing every step of the way. She was very professional and made thoughtful suggestions to help achieve the look I was going for. I felt heard and reassured by her confidence and experience throughout the process. My natural hair is long and curly but finely textured and Katie trimmed it up to give it body and shape while maintaining length as I had requested. Katie also did an excellent job with my balayage from placement to color and I left the salon feeling excited about my new hair. She achieved the cooler toned ashy/ mushroom shade was looking for and blended it into my natural black hair seamlessly. I highly recommend Katie to any first-timer looking for a great experience!

I went to get my hair colored, trimmed and styled. Everything was fine except for the fact that I had dye completely across my forehead and my ear. I called back to the salon because I didn’t confront the hairstylist there since I was nervous which I told the receptionist on the phone and she just told me to rub it off. Didn’t apologize or give me a discount. She just said “ If you wash your face enough times it will come off”. I have a trip the next day and I still have some dye on my forehead.

Marie was amazing! The receptionist was kind over the phone and when I arrived in person. I originally had an appointment on a Saturday morning with Bonjour Belle, but the stylist was a no show. I called Solace and explained the situation, they were so kind and able to fit me in. I was so surprised to get in on the same day on a Saturday. They exceeded my expectations and I’m so thankful Marie took me in, I’m new to the area and have found my salon and will be sending my mom and anyone else who wants a great hair cut or highlights.

Julia is great! On top of being so sweet and kind, she has figured out the perfect way to cut my hair – stick straight and baby fine – so that it not only looks nice but is easy for me to do too and grows out well. I did not even make it home after my last cut before I had been taken aside and complimented by 2 different people and this is not uncommon! The salon is really well laid out and nice but for me – Julia makes it all worth while!
