I had my hair cut by Desirée for the 1st time. I absolutely love it. Didn’t think i would ever say that again about a new hair cut. I have very thick, curly hair. It’s exactly what i wanted. Groupon had a deal “Hair by Val at Sola salon” so I checked the merchant’s website before buying the deal & found out that it’s asking for CC info for booking the appointment, so I messaged Valerie that how can I pay with Groupon? She emailed me back “you can’t use Groupon”. Upon asking “why” ,she became rude & messaged “listen we have this conversation already , I already told you”. I was totally clueless what she was talking about, because this was my first time messaging her.Then she emailed me “it’s for New customers only & I won’t accept any Groupon from you or your husband as your husband has been to my salon”. I clarified that me or my husband had never been to her salon & I had no idea from where she was getting that.

I really wanted to like this place because of the positive reviews. I get the feeling it is over booked. I contacted the hair dresser Gina and she told she she’d message me the next day (Saturday) with available appointment times. Didn’t hear from her. Texted her again. Heard back from her on Sunday saying she doesn’t work on weekends and that she was at a wedding. I’m disappointed in the lack of communication. This kerstin hair treatment is very important to me and I want to be sure the stylist that does it has the time you do it right. I don’t appreciate being blown off. I decided to go somewhere else.

I went to see Mrs. Nini about 3 months ago. She is a miracle worker when it come to hair. You wouldnt do anything to your hair if she couldn’t do it to her own. Unfortunately, i was $50 short on the braiding style. She totally understood my dilemma. Im a single mom raising four kids proudly. She braided my hair with another style that i could afford and liked alot. I just took out the braids a couple days ago. I got compliments up until i took them out. Additionally, her positive attitude is phenomenal. She’s a great person to be around. I look forward to seeing her again soon.

I have a wonderful hairstylist in this business. It is an interesting concept, each stylist has their own business inside of this large building, each with their own pod of sorts with a closing door. There are bathrooms for use by folks having their hair done there, be sure to get the code. On a downside if your driving by looking for somewhere to have your hair cut they often don’t look open. If your looking to get your hair done there are directions inside the door on what to look for drop in’s. There is no receptionist desk.
