Critical: Professionalism, QualityI scheduled an appointment with Tiffany a few weeks ago. My first red flag should have been when at our initial appointment, she cancelled on me 15 MINUTES before our appointment. Of course I let this go because everyone has things pop up once in a while. We rescheduled for two weeks later, and again, told me to come in 30 minutes after my appointment because she was running late. Again, no big deal, but that should have been my second red flag. I had a perm scheduled. I did express to her that I had bleached my hair a few weeks before and dyed a week or so before my appointment. During our consultation through text, I asked her to do a strand test because she said she felt it would get damaged. When I showed up to the appointment, she took a look at my hair, concluded it was fine to work with, and proceeded to do the perm with no strand test. She did express there would be SOME damage. After the perm, I didn’t have any curl, instead, my hair was FRIED from the root of my hair to my ends. I mean my hair is frizzy, puffy, it’s disgusting right now. I didn’t expect this much damage to my hair. I texted her saying I was upset with my hair. I spent a total of 150 dollars, 100 of those which were spent on the perm itself. I told her that I thought it was fair she give me 100 back for the perm, and she could keep her tip and whatever the cost for the trim she did would be. She only gave me 50 dollars back basically saying I was under the assumption of risk that it would get severely damaged. I mean who decides to go into an appointment KNOWING their hair will be damaged beyond repair? Literally nobody.
