If you are greying or a blonde or a combination of both than I highly recommend Verionica. Did I mention the word grey … well than as you can imagine I have tried a few stylist and have found my forever hair stylist I actually never do reviews but feel compelled to share. She is great at all things hair. Especially with the fact I came to get with brittle fine hair and was amazed how she colored my hair without destroy it but in fact left with it shiny and healthy looking … never disappoints always amazed. I called the salon a week and a half before my appointment to inquire about a groupon promotion they had for a color. I stated I had long thick hair but Veronica stated I would be able to use the Groupon there would just be an upcharge if needed for additional dye. Great, no problem. I said I would also pay full price for a haircut again no problem. She asked that I come in for my appointment a day early and 15 minutes earlier than I asked to which I obliged because I needed my hair done for a wedding. Well when I got there Veronica was extremely rude and unprofessional. I had to wait because clearly she had overbooked herself. I would say ten minutes later she pulled down my hair to check for gray hairs (this is important to note for later). In that time she questioned about being pregnant and dying my hair several times. I have been pregnant before and dyed my hair and any hair professional will tell you that it is safe to dye your hair while pregnant which makes me question her products….After waiting 45 MINUTES she puts me in the chair. She proceeds to say my hair is too long and thick and she cannot accept a groupon EVEN AFTER I CALLED AND HAD A FULL DISCUSSION ABOUT MY HAIR TO BOOK THE APPOINTMENT. She goes on to tell me how it is “not worth it for [her] because groupon takes a percentage of the cost of the groupon and [she] doesn’t really like using it as is. OK??? Your poor business management is not my problem, then don’t accept groupon! I continuously ask her ok what would be the cost for everything given a discount for the groupon and extras for the dye and haircut- THIS LADY WILL NOT GIVE ME A CLEAR ANSWER. Then she says how she might not even have enough dye. It kills me because she made me wait 45 minutes to tell me pretty much that she won’t service me when she inspected my hair within 10 minutes of me being there! Obviously when you pulled my hair down you saw the length and thickness. So essentially it was a huge waste of time rushing there to waste 45 minutes and some gas money. If you are looking for recommendations for local hair salons I love Etre in Red Bank and Renaissance in Middletown. Both I was introduced through Groupon and became a returning customer. The only reason I couldn’t use either of them was because they were booked by the time I was making my appointment so now I see why Soho was not.

Awful. If I could give this place zero stars I would. My best friend who is 6 months pregnant bought a Groupon for this salon to try to do something nice for herself before baby comes. She has long thick hair and she informed the salon PRIOR to going that she had this type of hair and asked if it would be a problem. She was told no, that they may just charge her an additional charge which she was perfectly fine with. Once she got there they refused to do her hair for the price of the Groupon and BLAMED HER, stating that she should have known that her hair was too long and thick. The woman was complaining that she wouldn’t make enough money off of the Groupon because they take a percentage of the profit.This is COMPLETELY unprofessional. Don’t offer Groupon if it’s “not worth it” and if you are going to turn away customers that pay for the service. Also, don’t treat paying customers with complete and utter disrespect. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs.

I just moved to New Jersey, and after going to the same hair dresser for 7 years I was very timid to try someone new. However I was extremely satisfied when I decided to try out Soho Studio Salon. The salon is very clean. The women working there are very welcoming and professional. They offer you coffee and water, but most importantly they truly listen to what you want. I like my hair long and she truly stuck to the one inch that I asked for. Most of the time that doesn’t happen! And she also matched my hair color perfectly. To top it all off, Veronica recommended hair products for my hair that have truly made difference in just the first week that I’ve been using them. I’ll definitely be going there again!

I’m extremely disappointed with Veronica’s unprofessional, inconsiderate and disappointing treatment of me as an existing client. I switched to her a few months ago since she was recommended. Things were going well with my last appointment being January 6th. At that time we scheduled my next appointment for February 24th @ 5:30pm. Just prior to my arrival, I received a call from her at 5:10pm, that she had to abruptly cancel. I have not heard from her since. I’ve left numerous messages since February 24th, and not even the courtesy of a call back or any form of communication from her at all. WOW! I have hundreds of dollars in Certificates to SoHo I am unable to use, since she is not returning calls. What a waste! I will not do business with her or attend her salon, shame on her! She is unprofessional and no way to treat anyone! Since it has been OVER 2 MONTHS, I had to go elsewhere. BE CAREFUL!
