5 STAR SERVICE! I called Sofia’s Hair Designs to see if it were possible to plan an exclusive Mother’s Day Event for 4 people. The owner of the salon, Maria, was a pleasure to work with! She had the salon booked just for my party. It was exactly as I pictured it. We had lunch and drinks. Not to mention that she is very talented in hair design. Between the 4 of us we all got cut, colored, and styled. She was able to achieve all the different looks we requested. Not only was it a great experience, but she also has great competitive prices! We will all be back again soon for trims and touch-ups. BEST MOTHERS DAY EVER! 10 outta 10, would recommend! 🙂

Amazing salon! Not only do I get my hair done here but my nails as well! Both Maria and Francesca are beyond talented and amazing. I loved it so much I convinced my boyfriend to get his hair cut here instead of his barber of 20+ years! He loved his hair more than he has ever before and I love my hair and nails every time I leave the salon. They put so much work and effort into what you want and make sure you leave feeling and looking your best!

Awful. I went for a full set of highlights. ($130) I asked for ash blonde and showed her a picture of the color I wanted, she said okay no problem. They came out ORANGE. And there is patches of my brown hair everywhere. She destroyed my hair. I would never recommend this place to anyone. After telling her I was not happy with it she STILL charged me and took my money. They don’t know what they are doing. Very unprofessional.

Maria was such an amazing host as well as an amazing hair stylist. She gave me food and water, we watched tv, all while she turned my hair from red-brown to white. And on top of all that her prices were so competitive it was unreal! Thank you so much girly!! This girl from Oklahoma will defiantly come back to Jersey just to have you do my hair.

I rarely write reviews and I write not to bash a business but to help them grow as well as to help other people who might go to them. I called in yesterday to ask if today (Labor day) they are open and to make an appointment between 9-10 AM; the woman (probably the owner) said okay and they would open. Today, I called back in the morning to make sure they’re open, she said no not the morning and asked me if I could postpone to 12:30 PM, I agreed. She called me back around 12 PM ( from her cell phone number I guess, since it was not the salon’s number) to tell me if I could come back at 1 PM because something happened with another costumer ( I didn’t really hear, the voice was pretty low on the phone ). Came at 1 PM to figure they’re closed. I called at both her cell number and the salon’s number a couple times, no picking up! I just wasted my time. Please just tell the truth, it could have gone simply! Not serious and unprofessional in my opinion.
