Positive: Professionalism, QualityTo start off, I’ve never really been into skin care, but I first came here just to try it out and have been back a few times since, simply because it’s so relaxing! I fell into a deep sleep on each visit, and woke up with my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and soft as a baby’s for the next couple of days. It’s a cozy little shop, tastefully decorated, and tucked away in a quiet corner that shares an entryway with a local salon. There is ample street parking along the front of the building so it’s pretty convenient to get in and out. The quality of service was top notch and very professional.. To start off, I’ve never really been into skin care, but I first came here just to try it out and have been back a few times since, simply because it’s so relaxing! I fell into a deep sleep on each visit, and woke up with my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and soft as a baby’s for the next couple of days. It’s a cozy little shop, tastefully decorated, and tucked away in a quiet corner that shares an entryway with a local salon. Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality**If you are in need of a relaxing spa experience in the heart of Hilo look no further, this is the place for you.**Such an incredible experience, Rika was PHENOMENAL!I must admit, I was a bit hesitant at first as I’m quite the novice when it comes to the world of skincare. I don’t wear SPF daily, I only ever finish step-one of a four-step skincare routine and make up is my magic eraser. So if you’re anything like me, this experience will change your life.To begin, they’re located right in town, next door to the Garden Exchange. I found street parking right away.Once I entered Rika was there to greet me, with a short questionnaire to get a better idea of my day-to-day health and skin care regime. We had a brief discussion and she told me a bit about the Pumpkin and Whip Facial I selected. I changed into a velcro towel, got comfy and we began.The Pumpkin and Whip facial is there seasonal special and I highly recommend it. The experience was delightful as the aroma shifted through the subtle scents of Fall (pumpkin, cocoa & marshmallow). Usually during facials, I have no idea what’s going on and I lay there when the esthetician applies a bunch of goop to my face. However, Rika was amazing! She took the time to prepare me before each change, especially if one treatment felt different from the other. Some of the masks also needed more time on my skin, so to my surprise Rika implemented a relaxing neck, arm and hand massage. That truly made the experience over the top! My skin instantly felt so refreshed and I swear I was glowing.Afterwards we chatted for a bit and she recommended a few things to improve my normal skincare routine that would better fit my (lazy lol) lifestyle. She was super easy to talk to and effortlessly made me feel comfortable throughout the entire experience. I will most definitely be back for future facials. I literally fell asleep during the treatment and woke up with my skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I’ve been to a number different spas in my travels, and while this is just a small shop, their quality of service is on par with some of the big spas you would find in fancy resorts and the prices are quite reasonable. I literally fell asleep during the treatment and woke up with my skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
