Critical: CommunicationBooked for myself plus one for 2 hour massage, specifically stated NOT a couples massage, was given couples room.Room was brightly lit, not relaxing. At first, no music or sound machine, after 15 minutes one therapist realized this and left to turn it on.Each time hot towels were needed, masseuse had to leave the room.Was asked on arrival what pressure, both of us stated light, and receptionist confirmed that we just wanted “relaxing ” massage, we both said yes. We were asked if there were any body parts to avoid or broken bones, but neither of us were ever asked if there were any areas to focus on. Several times, both myself and other person had to ask for lighter pressure, or not so hard. Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityThis place was FANTASTIC!! Never again will I go to Santa Rosa to a similar business that rushed through my massage, and cut my time short. SoCo Reflexology was better than any high end massage out there that costs an arm and a leg. I will definitely be back and will recommend this business to everyone I know.

Critical: ProfessionalismI want to love this place and have come on and off for a few years. However, two incidents occured which left me feeling violated, disappointed and unheard.Firstly, I was inappropriately draped and touched by a male masseuse. I’ve had many massages before and knew that it was inappropriate so I asked the masseuse to stop and told the owner. I did expect an acknowledgement of what a horrible thing this was to have happened, but instead he told me that his staff were trained and that the man would be talked to. There was no offer of apology (or even a refund–but besides the point). I was disappointed by this response since the owner was quite nice when I’d come in before.A few years have passed and today I naievely went back, specifically requesting a female masseuse in my appointment form but came to find out (once I was undressed) that it was a male instead. He did not drape or touch me inappropriately, but the quality was poor. There was no consistency/rhythm, it was unequal on both sides, and he used his forearm in an uncomfortable and unskilled way across my spine. I gave him the feedback right away but the massage did not improve. Afterwards, the front desk asked how it was and I said that it honestly wasn’t very good. Her response was that “he has lots of positive reviews” rather than offer a way to reimburse me for the poor experience.I’m really disappointed and wish I had better experiences here, but will never be coming back.I want to love this place and have come on and off for a few years.
