We started this business because we wanted to provide cosmetologists with a place to grow. Since coming to Alabama in 2020, Ashley was the first hairstylist that a co-worker recommended. I am very restrictive with who I allow to touch my hair, but after reading other reviews, I decided to trust her with my hair and give her a shot. I went in for my consultation and a week later I had my appointment. Since then, I refuse to see anyone but Ashley! She is worth the wait because she NEVER fails to deliver.

I tried this salon last week to style my hair for my work Christmas party. The atmosphere is so welcoming when you walk in and the people are very friendly. Ashley started off curling my hair, and then got Lindsay to help do a twist in the back. They worked great together, made sure I was okay with everything they were doing, and it turned out so beautifully. I was very happy and I thought the price was fair. Thanks for your help ladies! 🙂

Alexis did great and I’m honestly not the type of person to complain about pricing when it comes to hair salons HOWEVER I spent $500 on a color correction and cut . I’ve talked to people who have all agreed this is way overpriced and that I’m not crazy in thinking that. It also seems to be a common theme based upon reviews that people are being charged such high amounts without knowledge of the pricing. I was aware of the different pricing per level and that often those prices can be escalated based upon product used. I have a lot of hair and I’ve always known that it costs a good bit to get my hair dyed simply because the amount of product. I have never paid over $300 though. I hate to say that I will most likely not be returning because Alexis did do a great job and I genuinely love my hair I just can’t afford the prices of this place when I know salons that are more open about pricing and willing to work with you. I also found it interesting that I wasn’t offered a receipt of any sort so I could at least get a breakdown of the price to understand what made it so expensive.

I want to start by saying Aurora is amazing. This review in no way reflects her. I did not have an issue and have been a loyal customer until today. I made an appt on Wednesday for Friday at 6:15pm. Friday comes and I get an email at 8am stating my sons football game time has changed and is at same time as appt. I call and leave a message as soon as I get email to make them aware that I cannot make appt and to please call me back to reschedule. In theory, if they open at 9am and listen to their messages, that gives 9hrs to fill my appt. I never received that call to reschedule, only a call at 630 and then text messages asking me if I’m coming to my appt. I text back and let them know I left a message early this morning. They respond saying they see that now but unfortunately they have a 24hr cancellation fee. I worked as a billing manager for years, and I understand doing this for repeat offenders. But for a loyal customer thats has spent a lot of money and buys products from you, I feel a one time waive of this was acceptable. Well they didn’t, they charged my card for half of the services I was scheduled for. I unfortunately will not be back. If $41 is more important than a returning customer I don’t want to be a customer. Let me know if you ever leave Aurora!

So I did ask for someone experienced and I was assigned Kelly. I absolutely LOVED her as a person and I felt like she made me feel at ease. She listened to what I wanted and she handled my hair very professionally. I have a LOT of hair so it did take some time but I appreciated that she did not rush with the service. The color turned out beautiful and she cut my hair so perfectly. I received long layers and long curtain bangs.I read a few reviews on here commenting on the prices they had to pay but keep in mind, you get what you pay for. I love Society Salon! Jess does a wonderful job, and I absolutely love my hair every time she does it. She has also cut my little boy’s hair and always makes him feel comfortable as well. I always feel amazing after each visit and gets tons of compliments on my hair. 🙂 Everyone here is very nice and the environment is very relaxing as well. Highly recommend! Give Jess a call. 🙂
