This place is a gem! It’s a small salon that’s run by a husband & wife team. My previous LONG TERM stylist retired after Covid and I went on a search for the “right” stylist. I’m a natural brunette that’s ALWAYS going blonde. So as you can imagine, the “wrong” stylist can easily burn my hair; which is exactly what had happened before I found Murat & Gulcin. I had tried a very upscale posh salon at the Boro in Tysons corner & $600 later, walked out with brassy burned hair! What I appreciated about Murat & Gulcin was that they were truthful even if it meant NOT giving me exactly what I wanted. As their client that does not have the expertise, I went in asking for blonde hair again, in search of the hair I used to have years ago. They refused to bleach my hair blonde. They KNEW it would damage my hair further! They could have just taken my money and did as I asked like the other salon. But instead, they explained things to me in depth and took their time. I completely understood what they were saying. And we decided to get on the path of bringing my hair back to life first! Now, I’ve been going to them for about a year. And I see that they treat all their clients like family. Their prices are reasonable also. If you’re looking to try a new salon, you HAVE TO try So Chic in Sterling. You won’t regret meeting this amazing couple.

Not only have Murat and Gulcin fixed my hair once, but twice! I really learned my lesson. My hair is healthy and beautiful again! I love how attentive and sweet they are, and they really are a powerful duo. My hair looks so amazing every time. I used to go to mainstream hair salons, but never again! New update!! September 2021, This time my daughter had her hair layered and what a gorgeous is result – see the photos. I had my hair styled and I as always, I am NEVER disappointed! Feeling very chic indeed. We highly recommend So Chic Salon!! Will definitely be back!

I cannot express how amazing this location is!! I was in much need of hair care after a long hiatus. Being new to this area I struggled to find a location I could reach and was really hopeful when I was able to get into this location. 1st – accessible! I was able to get into the books within a week of calling for an appointment (previous stylist was 3+ mths if I was lucky). 2nd – wealth of knowledge. As soon as I walked in it was clean and welcoming. A small location but very knowledgeable staff allowing me to feel unique and heard. Consult was fast and she identified exactly what I needed without overselling services. 3rd – fast and accurate. Outside of leaving them with a hair pile what could only be mistaken as a large animal, I have had stylists struggle with my hair. 2hrs to do a cut and I was in and out within 45 min w/ a STYLE on top of the cut. lastly… I left feeling like a new person. I forgot how great my hair could look and feel. I am not ashamed to say, I couldn’t hold back the tears of happiness for the quality of a haircut they provided. Maybe a haircut is small to some but it really is magic how a great haircut and business can make a person feel!! I will continue to come here as long as I am able and they are able to have me!! best before I could find and after for reference!!

My review is a month late but still worth it. I have a regular stylist that I have gone to for years for my basic haircuts. She is great but not confident enough. For my birthday, I wanted all my hair cut off and I needed a new experience from someone who was confident in what they were doing…and so I found SoChic on google with great reviews. I was excited to get a cut quickly and they were able to see me the day after I called..which already made me happy. Not only are the husband and wife welcoming and friendly but they know what they are doing. My hair was cut and styled exactly as the picture I brought to them. A month later and I still love it. The husband cut my hair and took his time. He made sure every piece of hair was perfect. It was the most professional hair cut I have ever had and I am forever grateful knowing I now have a place I can go to and come out feeling like a brand new person.

i love sochicsalon!!! a couple of months ago i came to this salon after i had a rough run in with bleach. they completely transformed my hair and i was elated with the results. they knew exactly what to do to fix up my hair and revive it. i just went in yesterday and was ready to dye my hair back to brown and sochicsalon came through and delivered. i love it sm! every time i walk out of their salon i feel so much better. murat and gulcin are so kind and are amazing at what they do. pls check out this salon!!!

One of the best haircuts I have had. I am 41 years old and have not found anyone who can handle my extremely thick hair until now. Recommend So Chic for anyone who wants a great hair cut, especially those of you with thick/unruly hair.
