Worst experience ever, these ladies are the most unprofessional. My aunt she wanted her hair done and instead her hair needed up falling out. We have been to others salons and this has never happened. And for me they didn’t do anything literally, my hair looked the same which is blonde but my roots look really orange. And they still charged full price for make such a mess.

Decided to try to this place based on reviews. As my daughter and I walked in with plans for Mommy/Daughter Blowout, they ruined that within 2 seconds. She proceeded to tell me they can’t do her hair because she will cry. I said oh no she is 8 and have been getting her hair done since she was 2. But o k, I’ll take my money elsewhere! ✌

Soby is an excellent hair dresser however her customer services leaves a lot to be desired. She and her only assistant talk about ( black) customers while doing their hair. I know this because I am black and spanish and can understand all they are saying. And what they are say is never nice. will not go back to his salon again as they do not know the value of their clients.

I went because I needed emergency hair care due to other issues but i put my phone on google translate as soon as i sat down they immediately began talking bad. I confronted them and their reply was not you the customer before you but i told soby it doesn’t matter me or her we are all black including you. I went because I needed emergency hair care due to other issues but i put my phone on google translate as soon as i sat down they immediately began talking bad. Corie shaped and colored my hair into a blonde balayage and even that night I went out and had gotten sooo many compliments on it! I love it and feel it fits my personality to a T! She was even okay with my daughter being there when I was getting it done (even with her screaming from being tired at one point) not once was she rude or said snarky remarks about her. So dang happy with Corie and I will coming back and recommending others! Thank you!!!

I am Dominican myself, so I know what to expect and I know how to do my own hair. With that said, I don’t go to Soby’s or any other hair salon as much as I should, so when I go see Soby , I do not expect a miracle. The only services I have gotten at Soby’s have been haircuts and wash and blowout and I don’t have any complaints there. Soby is patient and courteous. I think her prices are average (compare to other Dominican Hair Salons in the area). Do expect to be there for a while (like in ANY other salon). I do have to say and agree with one of the commentators, when I do go to Soby’s to get my hair done and trimmed as I should, it does grow much faster for me and healthier. Thus far, I have not had any complaints about the products she uses either 🙂 .

If I could rate this place a zero I would. This was the worst experience I had at a Dominican hair salon. Black women please do not get your hair done at this place, you will get better treatment from Mery Mi Salon and VIP Dominican Beauty Salon. The owner and her shampoo girl are disrespectful and rude. They will talk bad about you in Spanish. That’s why the shop doesn’t get business both women are unprofessional
