This place is fabulous! My son had his very first haircut with Ann Marie this week and I was extra nervous that he would have a toddler meltdown and that we would need to reschedule, especially since we were planning using clippers on the back and sides which can definitely be scary to a child who hasn’t experienced them. Ann Marie saw that my son was playing comfortably at their toy table so she brought her tools over to him and did his hair cut while he played with toys and watched shows on the tablet she provided. She had a great game plan of starting off with a bigger guard to get it done fast (in case he tapped out, so we would at least get something done) and then when he tolerated that she moved on to a shorter/cleaner look. She also gave me great tips on hair care for my daughter who is autistic and has very curly hair that is hard to manage with her sensory sensitivities. She took an adorable picture of my son and gave us a certificate and a lock of his hair as a keepsake, all for a very reasonable price. I definitely recommend Snipz Novato for your child’s first hair cut!!

I have been taking my 3 year old son to Snipz for close to 2 years now and I have always been impressed by the quality , value and customer service. My son has had 3 different women cut his hair and each have been excellent- meaning they do a great job with the haircut itself, they communicate with me as well as with my son during the process, and they each have an excellent attitude dealing with the workload/ parents/ walk-ins/ unpredictability of cutting childrens hair! The salon is clean and has a nice waiting area with toys for the kids. Ive only had good experiences with both appointments and walk-ins. Highly recommended!

Nightmare! We should have left when the stylist kept saying, how SHORT are we going? When we asked her to TRIM my kid’s hair. I almost cried when I saw what she had done. He has a pretty serious cowlick that we waited a long time for the hair to get long enough for it to lay flat. She shaved right up to it and then told us he had a cowlick, and kept shaving. I had to ask her to stop because she was making it worse. The look of disappointment on my son’s face when he looked in the mirror broke my heart. Bad hair cuts are a part of life, but he has picture day in less than a week, so not only did she ruin our day, she ruined his school pictures for the year.

Our son is neurodiverse and Tracy and her colleagues always go above and beyond to accommodate him, even during their busiest hours. I’m new to the area and really needed a haircut. While out, nobody could take me as a “Walk in”. I saw that Snipz was for kids but still thought to see if they could take me and they did!!!! My stylist was Anne-Marie and I couldn’t be happier with my haircut! Though the place specializes in styling kids, Anne-Marie was wonderful with my 60plus year old hair.

I brought my son in here and he has been going to this children’s hair salon for 2 years now and every time I was satisfied with their work but today, there was a young lady who was new and was the first time I have seen her there and she cut sons hair very bad and she also gave him a scar of his ear. It also took a very long time. Devon always did my sons hair cuts, she is perfect and she is fast at her job.

Walked in to check if it was a good fit for young son, inquired about prices, stylist gave snippy response as if she was annoyed. As if, either you want the haircut or you don’t want the haircut, why would price matter. Although they were busy and may give a good cut and experience for some, we’ll find a different shop. Unfortunately first impression was not good for us.
