Got my hair “braided” by Janel Dixon aka “Nel the Barber” DO NOT COME HERE FOR HAIR BRAIDING!!!!Terrible job, I asked for the style that i usually get and she decided to freestyle and give me something totally different. She was adamant about her braiding “skills” and overly confident in her ability as you can see by the picture. As i inquired about MY hair and provided feedback along the way I was berated and responded with rude remarks and a bad attitude versus just telling me she wasn’t able to do what I asked for. She stated “you ask too many questions” “you worried bout the wrong thing”. She told me to sit back and hold still and let her do her thing…too bad her thing was no where near what i asked for. The only thing that was right was the wash and blow dry. The worst braiding service I ever received.

I’ve heard it said that barber shops are a dime a dozen but nothing could be further from the truth. While the physical shops themselves are plentiful, it is rare to visit one that takes the time to get to know you and your hair needs.

My barber Roland Wallace makes sure that my son and I are fresh and he takes his time and never rushes. The atmosphere is very pleasant as well. Its worth the wait and money for a haircut done right. That razor though trust me….its a must! I recommend this spot!
