My 15 year old daughter was mislead to believe she would get this done. Was told she was a candidate and they have fixed worse. Was reassured she would be smiling by her birthday. 4 days later I get a text and email that they cannot do it. The staff was very friendly however the company needs to stop telling young children they can do what the actually cannot. Quick to get money upfront before they decide. I guess because I said I could not pay right then but could in a week, she lost out. Typical response I got. Doesn’t make my teenage daughter feel better. She may understand how companies work now. Lie and make yourself feel better as long as you get money.

Do not believe the lies! Customer service is horrible. The app is a scam bot that doesn’t have real information. I have placed three orders for retainer following up with each. The bot kept telling me they would be here in a week. Each week I checked in with the same info. Finally I called and they had cancelled the order. I placed it again. They never sent them for manufacturing. It has been three months without retainers. The last aligner is breaking and dying. My teeth are moving and all anyone can say is I understand let’s place another order. I have placed four already and nothing. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. They must edit their reviews because this experience sucks and now is a waste of my money. Go to an orthodontist people!!!! Go to a professional!

I got to the appointment. The lady does everything takes all the pictures. I was impressed. Then she says I’ll get my video next day in an email when my aligners ship. The video of how your teeth will look. I wish I would have seen it first before I gave them my credit card. The lady seemed confident they could correct my cross bite and between my jaw closing. Well next day I didn’t get my video no I had to call and beg for it and told I was promised it. After idk 3 or 4 calls someone finally took initiative to email me the video. I get an email with my video and my teeth look and more cross bite. The only difference is minor straightening of only my front teeth. So I call back try to figure out why I was lied to. I then figured out that I was charged 1895.00 twice. They charged me twice. When I asked why they said oh it was an accident you will have a refund issued in 2 to 10 business days. That was December 13th. It is January 1 and I still fo not have a refund. I’ve called back multiple time also on the December 19 and asked for a refund for the actual amount I was charged for the aligners because I was not happy with the video. Again it is January 1 and I do not have a refund I’m out 1895.00 twice. Luckily I used my Citi card and disputed the charges now we are in battle. Give me my money back. I don’t want your lies and games.

My Smile Guide, Ambrosia, was really nice and super informative. No surprises, no high pressure sales pitch, no upselling. Other than NOT getting the free $25 Visa prepaid gift card that I was promised for getting the scan, everything went well and I was excited when I left their office, which is buried in a huge maxe-like salon.

Honestly, I can’t thank smile direct Club enough for helping me. I HATED my teeth. As you can see they were terrible. Yes, I doubted it. But with a super smooth 6 months (just some gum bleeds) but that’s normal. I hate how I can’t snack when I want but hey it was WORTH IT! And as of today.. I still have 4 more aligners to go! This was the most incredible experience I’ve ever had with anything. THANK YOU!!

EDIT: I have to remove 2 stars after I was charged the full amount for treatment without my treatment plan being discussed with me or approved by me. Only through my own curiosity and a couple calls to customer service did I discover that they cannot correct one of my molars which is out of alignment and one of the primary reasons for my visit. Thankfully the rest of my teeth can be corrected so I am grateful for that and will proceed with the plan, but nobody reached out to say “hey, sorry but we can’t fix this one, would you still like to go through with this $2000 purchase?” Of course, this is not the fault of this particular clinic site, but the SDC entity as a whole. Still, this is a big purchase and expectations for correction need to be reviewed PRIOR to charging the patient. As a fellow clinician, it’s disappointing to see a disregard for informed consent. Risks, benefits, alternatives–every time.
