I have never had such a bad experience at this salon before. I came in to get a new hairstyle for my undercut. I provided two pictures of what I wanted the style to look like (the women), and one picture that I said, “I do NOT want it to look like this. Please don’t do this.” (the guy) So, once the stylist started to work, she began to gush about how exciting it was to be able to do ‘ethnic’ hair. I’m a black person with curly hair. She told me that she has not had a lot of opportunities to work on ethnic hair, because there aren’t many ethnic people in the Valley, and when she lived in a place with more ethnic people, they all went to the ethnic salon instead. How many times do you need to say ethnic, lady? Ethnic is not a race of people! I should have left at that point, once she admitted that she basically had no idea what she was doing, but by then she had already cut a bunch of hair off. Which was a problem, as the pictures I provided her had plenty of hair length. I commented that it seemed like I was losing a lot of hair and that it was making me nervous. I had my glasses off and couldn’t see well, but I could see that my curls were vanishing! She replied that she was following the pictures. Well, it turns out that no she wasn’t. My hair is several inches shorter than in the picture, because guess what, my ‘ethnic’ hair curls up tightly when it isn’t wet, which I explained to the stylist before we even started. I told her, it may not seem like much, but my hair is longer than you think it is. Even curled up, my hair was almost to my shoulder. Now, it is maybe four inches long at the longest point, when wet. All of my length is gone. The stylist literally made my hair look almost exactly like the picture I said, do NOT make it look like this. I was so shocked that I didn’t say anything to her, because I had already tried to tell her she was cutting it too short, and also, how do you put length back on, so what’s the point? I am humiliated. My hair is not what I wanted at all, and now I need to wait for it to grow out again before I can try to get the right style. But I will not be returning to this salon for anything other than a shave of the sides of my head to maintain my undercut. If I even come back for that.

I have never had such bad customer service here. But, I won’t come back after this. The employer barely looked up from hey cell phone, to tell me that she had a appointment, lunch and then she was going home… Uhh.. so I couldn’t make an appointment for later? Preferably a stylist that had some customer service knowledge… Guess not. Avoid this location.
