I always go to Dorian, and he always does an amazing job. He himself would get 5 stars.

Called and made an appointment for 4:30. Showed up at 4:15 to be told the online app overbooked people and so I was told to wait 45 minutes. I tried again and was told that they had these other appointments and to come back at 5:30 they even took my number down. I checked at 5:30 and there were still people in the chair. At 5:54 . I finally left. I was hurt because if they couldn’t get me in I would have preferred astraight up answer. I had told the lady who scheduled me that I worked two jobs and that’s why she scheduled me when she did. I never even received a call. To have waited over an hour and 45 minutes to never be seen is just awful. Be professional enough to call and tell people you will not be able to get them in rather than making them wait . Not fair that other people got to jeep their appointment but no accommodation or concern was taken for mine.

Dorian is one of the most passionate barbers I’ve met. Both times I’ve gotten haircuts from him were phenomenal. He takes awhile because it’s worth it. I’ll back back to get my haircuts from him. Haircut

My bf needed his haircut. Upon recommendation we went to Smart Style & asked if we could make an appointment. The lady told us to take a seat while she finished working on the guy she was with. They go to the register leaving us around the corner. Next thing she’s yelling for our phone number but we don’t know she’s taking to us. She stays around the corner yelling “Hello?! What’s you’re phone number” & by this point we realize she’s taking to us. When my bf tried to explain what he wanted she cut him short, barely looked at the pic we brought for reference & then didn’t speak during the cut. Her attitude seemed to change when my bfs brother came in who knows her. Suddenly she was all smiles. Not impressed. Didn’t even know her name until the brother told me after we left the salon. Never introduced herself or offered the massage that is supposed to come with the service as I’m told. Brandy might be good at haircuts (yes, bfs hair looks great) however her customer service skills need work.

I enjoyed the manager who was there. I miss him, I also do not wish to go back due to the person running that shop now as she has gotten hostile with the manager there. Beard trim, Hairstyling

I have been a satisfied customer for at least 13 years! I could use any salon I wish ( I have tried a few others over the years ) but I prefer the staff at Smart Styles Silver City, NM. I’m always asked “who does your hair” and I send them straight over!! I know the ladies try really hard to keep the store clean, neat and well stocked. If you have had a bad experience, I would recommend taking a picture of a style, cut, or color with you to help achieve your desired result. Also, please remember that they are people too! They are not mind readers or magicians. They want you to love your look and be happy. I have personally watched them go above and beyond to “fix” a problem with a look. Thanks ladies for all you do.

Critical: QualityWorst haircut EVER, had to go to another salon to fix what the stylist did at Walmart. In doing so, they had to cut alot of inches off, so now my hair is barely shoulder length and it started out at almost waist length. Never again.Service: Hairstyling

Very rude customer service. The owner at the moment made inappropriate comments about customer’s hair. Said my husbands hair was “greasy” when he had pomade in it and made it apparent she was disgusted that he had product. She barely talks to the person in the chair and it feels like you’re forcing her to do your hair, and always has a complaint about the work she has to do before you and rudely asks if you want to come back or wait as if to say, “don’t bother.” A good portion of the time, they go on “breaks” or “lunch” and since no one really works there, they have to close. Doesn’t seem to enjoy her job one bit and rushes through with little to no care about the look of your concerns about your hair. Most people would greet you with a smile and a positive attitude, especially working with the public, but I’ve yet to find anyone there that wants to be there, including the customers. Sometimes they’re the only option, being open on Mondays and being in a store where one can shop while getting their hair done, unfortunately, even when they have absolutely zero customers (for good reason), they still moan and groan when someone walks in. Coupons are great, pricing is all right, but when you get your cut at a Walmart, you’re pretty much getting what you pay for. Which isn’t that great. Seems like the Walmart employee apathy includes their salon. Tons of products, but no mention of them or what they can do for your hair, and no offer of products after a cut. If you’re rude and grossed out by hair and have a snide attitude, then obviously hair dressing is not for you. Maybe if you know them well they’ll be nice. But even if they don’t want to be there, we all have our days, just fake a smile like a professional. It just seems like they don’t want to be there at all. Always feels like you’re not getting your hair cut by a professional and feels like a cheap, Great Value version of a real salon. Pass.

I got in right away. She did my hair exactly the way I wanted it. They are very nice and friendly and good at their jobs. My only problem is is corporately owned and their prices are a little high.

We went into Smart Style and the lady working said she had 2 people ahead of us, on Sat. 4-9-16, at 2 pm-ish. She made sure the other lady working saw us to make sure we would have a spot in line when we came back. We had no problem coming back as we had some shopping to do anyway. When we were checking out we noticed the last man who was ahead of us was just getting up off the chair. This was at 2:40 pm. So, I took my son to the counter. This man got up off the a bench in front of Smart Style in a hurry to cut in front of us, which I let go since I knew we were technically next in line. When she started to take him as next customer, I brought up the fact that we had been in earlier and were told we were next after the gentleman who had just left. I told her this even before the line cutting guy’s behind even hit the chair. The woman working shrugged and smirked and said, “I wasn’t around, so..” Yes she was around to top it off, so, I said, “Well, we were next.” . Again she shrugged and gave me that stupid smirk again. When my husband finished paying at Wal-Mart I told him what happened, he confronted the woman and said you knew we were next in line and you still took that man. She just said, “Umm, I can take your son after him (motioning to line cutting man in chair)… but…” she had no real answer. We won’t be back, it’s not a loss, there are many qualified hair cutting places in Silver, just annoying when you’re told you’re next and get treated like this.
