I’ve been to this salon a few times and over the last year, service is lacking. I wanted to try them once more, so I just went in at 4 pm and asked what time the salon closed. Now, granted I know that I didn’t have an appointment, but was hoping to get a trim. The woman there, black woman with blond dread locks was kind in pulling her ear away from her cell phone, and answered that they closed at 5 pm. I asked her if she’d have time to trim my hair (it was 4 pm after all, and their sign says “walk ins welcome”. She then informed me “Girl, I ain’t doing nothing else today.”, and went back to her phone call. I guess if the sign says 5, that really means when the stylist is tired and doesn’t want to do anymore work for the day. Too bad too, because I’m a very generous tipper in these situations when I just show up for a trim.

Critical: PunctualityI’ve been going to this salon for about 2 years and I’ve loved my stylist but today was the last straw. I had an appointment and for the 5th time in the past 2 years I’ve gotten there and my stylist wasn’t there. No one bothered to call me and tell me just like in the past. Never have they called to tell me. Today I was told I could come back an hour and a half later and she’d be there. What a waste of my time! I’m finding a new stylist and salon. The style is perfect. I was seen 5 minutes early. The beautician was very good. And did exactly what I ask! Her name is Canella. I would recommend her highly. Her station was very clean. She is as sweet as can be. And it was a great job!

This place did a good job on my husband hair years ago and yet at the same time did a horrible job on my little brother hair and when they tried to fix it it was even worse. Then they charged a ridiculous price. By the time we got home he was so upset we had to finish shaving it off. I only give it a 4 ★ however because it was only one person and they did let that one person go A few days later. And idk how it is now. Hoping it is better for others along with prices. I just never got time to write down my review about down so sorry. Good luck to all others.

Would’ve gave a 0 stars if that was an option. I’ve had the worst experience ever at this salon! It starts off with the stylist cutting off more hair than what I wanted even though I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she even verbalized what I wanted (meaning she knew what I wanted but didn’t follow through) My request was shoulder length choppy bob but she layered it in the front going from short in front to longer in the back instead of longer in the front and shorter in the back. When she finished cutting my hair she said “it looks different than the picture because it’s not styled” my thoughts were “no it looks different because it is different” I let her know that’s not how we discussed how my hair was to be cut. She said it was because of having a side bang (mind you I didn’t have a bang and my hair length was almost mid back before the cut) I did tell her I wanted a side bang but she cut off more than she needed to AND from both sides so no, I won’t buy that excuse. The manager came over I explained everything and all the manager said was “I see what you’re saying” (the manager did cut off another inch off from the back to make it look more like a long bob- and that shows how opposite the haircut was- instead of going longer to shorter from front to back it was the opposite). Did I get ANY apology? NO! So yes I did write bad survey when one was emailed to me. The district manager contacted me and said I can get a refund. So I go into the salon and asked the stylist up front (the one who cut my hair) if the manager was there and she said she’ll get her and while she passed by me she whispered “you’re packed with lies” . She came back and said “the manager will be up here” I told her “You just said I’m packed with lies while you passed by” And she just sat down and started speaking in Spanish and I kept repeating to her about 4-5 times “You know I don’t speak Spanish and I know you’re saying stuff about me but that’s fine I’ll contact the district manager again” and “I don’t speak spanish” and “You’re being childish but that’s fine go ahead” but she just kept going on speaking in spanish all while the customers and stylists are looking at us. The manager comes up and I told her what happened and she said “I’m so sorry I’ll talk to her” and “I heard you telling her you don’t speak spanish, I didn’t hear her talking to you” (she was on the other side of the room so maybe she really didn’t hear her but the other workers and customers did) If the salon has camaras it will prove she said that to me while passing me by. I’ve never been so humiliated and frustrated! I’m appalled at the fact she was so bold to tell me that. That’s the worst customer service I’ve ever received. And the worst part is I was with my 5 year old daughter and I actually started crying because of the whole ordeal and when we left my daughter kept asking me “Why are you crying?” I would’ve never went in to get a refund if I knew I was going to be treated that way! I didn’t lie and wouldn’t have made a fuss about it if she cut my hair the way it was supposed to be. I probably wouldn’t have put a “bad survey” if I would’ve got an apology in the first visit. I know I’m just one customer but the thought of any customer being treated that way is disheartening. I will be contacting corporate because she obviously thinks it’s okay to be like that with customers and is not afraid of her manager. She knew what she was doing by whispering it to me and speaking in spanish low enough for the manager not to hear. I’m very disappointed and wish I would’ve never went in. I emailed all of this to the district manager and she did apologize to me and offer free products but I refused them because I honestly I don’t want to go back into that salon after being called a liar and humiliated. Also needless to say I DON’T recommend this salon! If you like the prices go to the marketplace one. End of story the stylist gets a “write up”

I was visiting my son for a couple of months (March 2017). Needed a haircut and decided, with reluctance, to stop at the Walmart SmartStyle on Valencia, closest one to our place. Marta did my cut. It was probably the best cut I’ve ever had. She listened to what I asked for. It looked so nice when she was done. I’ve paid way, way more for lesser haircuts.
