I had an appt and the woman sitting in a chair was using her phone and couldn’t be bothered to greet me. She was rude, and lazy. Didn’t wash my hair. Just sprayed water on it. Only cut part of the back of my hair in layers. I didn’t realize it until I got home. She knew nothing about the hair care products within the salon. No small talk. Less than 15 minutes spent on my hair. No blow dry either. Paid 22.95 for this half done hair cut. I only asked for layers nothing special. After I paid she went back to her chair and whipped out her phone. No good bye. Nothing. Nada el zippy. Her phone is more important than a customer.

Tina did my hair, never looked at colors with me. Put color in my hair and it is nothing like I wanted. Then she tells me I need to bleach to get my color I wanted. Got goops and goops of hair color in my ear. Now I have to wait to get it fixed. Definitely will not be back. Wasted money and I clearly stated I was not happy with results.

I was scheduled with Renee and got someone else. I could have waited but gave this lady the benefit of the doubt. She literally took less than 5 mins to cut my hair. I didn’t get a chance to explain what I wanted besides a trim and she said she was done. If you do choose to get a cut here. I’d recommend Renee, at least she took time with the customer she was helping. I wish I would have waited for her.

Sheila (i think)..was my stylist. I was going from very long to shoulder length. A lil apprehensive…i wanted a certain style..i brought a pic.. told her to cut it an i would style it at home. Wasnt sure about it at first.. as all my curls came into play. Next day i did a straighten n iron curl. OMG..it was just like the pic.. amazing and thank you.

I signed my name and waited for 5 minutes but they seemed busy so I went into Wal Mart to look for something, Stag Chili, they didn’t have any so I walked back. I waited at the desk and saw a heavy set lady with dark hair and red streaks in her hair walk past me. I sat down and 2 people went ahead of me, I waited 35 minutes total, but 5 of those minutes was outside the store looking for Stagg Chili, so I understand that they took people ahead of me, I told them I’m here and waiting, and they said they called my name, which I never heard, I saw my name not-crossed out, waited 20 minutes, and then when I walked up to the counter they crossed my name out, I told them I was here, and they said I wasn’t, anyway I was patient with them and they were no longer busy, and the manager (heavy set lady with red streaks in her hair) started yelling at me, she said I wasn’t there, I told her she walked past me earlier, she said she didn’t, I told her I’m just here to get a haircut, she yelled at me for about 1 minute straight, even while the hair-stylist was trying to prepare me for a haircut, the ‘manager’ lady kept on and on and on yelling at me, I told her I’m going to the Wal Mart manager, she said “go ahead, they have nothing to do with this pace”, this is probably true, I left and will never go back, I do not recommend this place, they are rude, so I went across the street to the Foothills Mall, they were very nice there, and one guy there told me he used to work at Smartstyle Family Hair Salon, he told me he was fired because a customer called him the N word and he understandably got mad about it. So apparently it’s not ok for a customer to wait 30 minutes and tell the manager they have been waiting, the manager will call the customer a liar, but it is ok for the customer (a different customer) to say the N word and the customer is right in that case. I’m not racist, and I’m not impatient, I waited my turn and was treated very poorly, being yelled at while trying to get a haircut? I’m going to contact the owner of Smartstyle Family Hair Salon, if it has happened to me, it will happen to others, I hope the management of that place is changed for the better. I was harassed by the manager, and a former employee was harassed by a customer, both are wrong, the customer isn’t always right, but I was respectful and was being called liar. Why would I lie about waiting 30 minutes? And why would anyone even be mad that I claimed I waited 30 minutes? I wasn’t even bothered by the 2 people that went before me, I was bothered by the very disrespectful attitude of the heavy set lady with the dark hair with red streaks in her hair, she called it “her salon”, please take immediate action to discipline her, she needs to learn how to treat customers, she needs a few weeks of customer service training, preferably at the unemployment line.
