Have been going to this SmartStyle EVERY week now for over 5 years. NEVER once have I had a bad experience. With all the negativity in the world today, I just need to say how much I love and appreciate Jennifer & Clara at Smart Style. I have been going for the last year to get a hair color &/or haircut. My hair has never looked healthier and better. My son whom has a natural curl with several cowlick’s and is very picky also gets his hair cut by Jennifer. Stopped in on the fly figuring I could kill 2 birds with one stone, probably the biggest mistake I made. Asked for a 1 on the sides halfway up and blend/fade the other half and however much is taken off using the 1 take off the top, easy enough as I have never had an issue with this cut in 30 yrs untill today… The young lady finished and what she did get right was the 1 on the side, I pointed this out and explained again that I wanted it blended , she looked confused. At this point I was nervous and didn’t want anymore damage, she assured me that she could get it done ,at one point a fellow stylist asked if she needed help, she declined . I found myself explaining to her that you start with a 1 then a 1 1/2, 2 etc… I thought they taught this in schools, go figure she still couldn’t get it right . The stylist having no hair should have put up red flags, luckily hair grows back, hopefully I can have my regular place fix this mess.

Horrible cut. Stylist seemed to have an ok ish attitude, but was too busy talking to her friends. I came in with clean, naturally dried hair so the stylist could see what kind of texture and type they had to work with. I brought in three photos for example, and it is a simple cut that should have been no problem. One side of my head does not match the other, at all. And it isn’t uneven, there is a CLEAR SIX INCH DIFFERENCE. It is obvious that at some point she quit paying attention, (most likely while she was speaking to her friends who were congregating around her) and hacked a LARGE chunk off and just didn’t say anything. Not a word. How did I discover my cut? Well, I left the salon wet and as my hair air dried, I felt compelled to visit the restroom after all the wierd stares I was getting. I. Look. Ridiculous. I mentioned this SATURDAY and STILL have yet to hear a word back. Don’t go here.
